I don't know if the problem still exists, but I remember one of the prior firmware updates causing all kind of bricking issues with the Switch.

It's not cheap by any means, but I honestly just bought a second first party dock. I keep one where I work, and one at home/in my rack while deployed.

Figured i should ask here, anyone know of a reliable good low price dock to use as a secondary dock? I play smash on my evo monitor since it has extremely low input lag, and want to play everything else on my 55” tv. The dock would need to come with an adapter to plug in or at least point to me where i can buy a 2nd plug as well to have myself with an easy to just dock/undock setup to switch displays.

just found out the switch doesn't come with a micro SD card and I can just buy a big fat one and shove it in instead of having to port a whole bunch of stuff over. (for reference, I thought the 32 GB internal memory was a card that came with it and would have to be swapped out to add more storage)

that took a load off my mind.

has anyone done this? like, you just shove a micro SD card in there and you're good to go right? as long as you're not trying to transfer data from an old one

Yeah just pop a card in and you're gtg.

Of note is that once you put an SD card in, the system will only put data on the card and won't install anything to internal storage. The internal memory is faster then an SD card, so if it's a game where you care about loading times it might be worthwhile to take that into account.

So I learned in the move this past weekend that sometimes the dock will glitch if you plug cables in in the wrong order. Charger has to be plugged in first, then HDMI. Otherwise the dock doesn’t work, even to charge.

Put your old sd in your computer and the new one and do a copy paste

Or redoeload the games on the sd

The save files are on the console anyway
