Are Arena/Ultimax considered main line persona games? My understanding is they are fighting games, just set in that games universe. As for Persona 4 on steam, it's been 12 years since it initially came out on PS2. It's possible that one may no longer be bound by a contract. But really, the only people who know are Atlus and maybe Sony execs on why it's not on any other system. Some people think it may be an optimization issue and won't run well on the Switch, though it uses the same engine as Catherine that just released.

Theyre considered canon insofar as its like an augmented reality from the continuity of P3-5; which do happen in the same world and timeline. Don't believe they're considered mainline games though.

Also on that note the games can take forever before you can actually play them because there's a ton of story set up/meeting initial party members.

That's the case for 3-5 for sure.

If you can stomach going back to playing P1 and 2/2.5, you get to things -slightly- faster. P1 may not have aged as well. But the battle theme is great: Enough that I could suffer Joker in P5 wearing that awful school uniform to listen to it.

I actually am having trouble finding something I want. Only game I can think of is fire emblem but thats def a game I dont need to buy at full price and binge hard. I want that type of game for switch and I just can't think of one.

I might get the new paper mario but looking at reviews and while I'll play it I don't think it's gonna scratch that itch for me

Well that's clearly not true seeing as they just put Persona 4 onto Steam

Some exclusivity deals involve only consoles, and eventually expire which opens way to the remastered versions on other consoles etc.

Huh I thought it ran decent on initial release for Dreamcast but the port was botched and never fixed. May have to look into that at some point.
