IB next week.
Patch for the Tribute Hall glitch, also, if you used that to get Bad Juju, you won't be able to use it till you've actually done the quest correctly.
Played some on PS4 at release, just downloaded to play 4k w/ 1080ti. Feels/looks like a different game.
Solstice of Heroes info:

Runs from July 30 to August 27.
New area, the European Aerial Zone, with a 3-man matchmade activity.
If you unlock the full Solstice armor, you can pick up an Armor 2.0 version once Shadowkeep releases.
And new cosmetics to chase (no event engram, but all items will be purchasable for bright dust at some point during the event) -- the new ghosts are great and there's an amazing new sparrow..

Way to ignore the awesome emblem for playing during laser tag weekend!
That was on purpose. I'm salty I wasn't playing at the time.
That is a pretty slick emblem.
What's the best deal to get year 2 forsaken and year three?
Anyone playing on PC? Pretty sure I'm commiting to playing this for a while on PC. Hopefully they open up character moves. So I can play with consoles.
Wait for the Shadowkeep Pass in September, I think. Majority of D2 will be free and you can skip other paid content (if I understood what Bungie was saying). That'll be the start of season pass content cycles. They explained that you can jump in and out of seasons if it's one you want or not.
I think this is the case now (but it might not happen till Shadowkeep releases), but Forsaken comes with the Y2 annual pass now. If you wait till the game goes F2P, you don't need Forsaken, but you won't be able to do any of the major content from this past year (you can do patrols and visit the locations, but none of the quests, raids, etc). That said, and this is an assumption based on how Bungie has historically not updated content, with the armor 2.0 changes coming with Shadowkeep, the only things you're probably missing out on will be the story elements. They've got a good system in place to help players catch up on levels with each season and I can't imagine they'll abandon that going forward. Also, they're going to a season pass model with Shadowkeep where each season can be purchased separately (instead of the current annual pass model where it was all or nothing).
Cross save is coming in September, so you'll be able to move your character between platforms. However, you have to buy the content releases for whatever platform you want to play them on (so if you only have Shadowkeep on PC, you wouldn't be able to do the new raid on PS4, for instance).

Will update this post in a little.
DESTINY 2 UPDATE 2.5.2
SANDBOX
Weapons
Lord of Wolves
Reduced the amount of ammo that Shotgun Scavenger perks can give to Lord of Wolves when it is in the Release the Wolves state
Decreased the effective range on Lord of Wolves
This decrease is more aggressive when the weapon is in the Release the Wolves state
Perks
Fixed an issue that allowed the Feeding Frenzy perk to be applied to any weapon
Armor
Fixed an issue where the cloth component of the Iron Symmachy Cloak wasn’t rendering correctly
Fixed an issue where the cloth component of the Terra Concord Mark wasn’t rendering correctly
Fixed a bug where the Titan Exotic leg armor Peregrine Greaves glowed 130x too bright when wearers were at maximum velocity
While our intention was for this Exotic to help Titans destroy opponents with 130x efficiency, we did not intend for its glow to burn out the corneas of the user
INVESTMENT

Subsequent completions have a moderate chance to drop a Sword (25%)
Fixed an issue where the Triumph “Drink Deep” would not unlock for some players who claimed the Masterwork slot on the Chalice of Opulence

Replaced the step of the Truth quest chain requiring the bounty “Corsair Down” with a step requiring completion of three patrols in the Dreaming City

General
Fixed an issue where completion notifications would not appear after players completed bounties
This will also fix an issue where players would sometimes not spawn during a Crucible match
There are reports that Shadowkeep is being delayed two weeks (till October 1st). Based on the sources (the EU Xbox store being one of them), kinda expecting this to be true. Gotta wait for the weekly update in a few hours to know for sure..
Nevermind, didn't need to wait:
https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/48032
we're changing the date for Shadowkeep and New Light from September 17 to October 1.The World First for the new Raid Garden of Salvation will begin on Saturday, October 5. It’s a weekend Raid race and Contest will be active
We’re extending Moments of Triumph through September 17 – you’ll have three more weeks to complete this year’s challenges and unlock all of the in-game and Bungie rewards
We’re going to run an additional Iron Banner the week of September 17 as well
Cross Save will come online later this Summer, so you’ll have time to sort out your Friend Lists well ahead of Shadowkeep
Yup good move, going up against BL3 would have been horrible.
https://twitter.com/thislukesmith/st...72804064985089I'm hoping to publish a State of the Game (warning: likely very long, somewhat-to-very nerdy) post next week looking at the last six months of learnings from Destiny 2 and outlining the kind of changes we're making to the game in Shadowkeep and why.
