Weekly Update:
https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47579
Vicarious Visions is working on Penumbra, that'll be their last bit of Destiny
Going forward, content releases will do a better job of having content available at release
Weapon balance coming in 2.1.4 (buffs to ARs, Scouts, Snipers, Acrius, and Trace Rifles; nerfs to Telesto and Wavesplitter)
Also in 2.1.4:
Ballistic logs won't be lost at reset and we can hold 5
Need to complete forges to get lore (so get afk farming before the 29th, if you care about it)
Upon further research, the enemies inconsistently scale to your light level per 100 cap (300/400/500/600). I haven't seen anything for the 650 cap, but from my personal experience, each shot is like getting hit by a truck.
An invader's light level will always matter. If a 650 invader enters your match and you or your teammates are below 650, the invader will have the advantage. I have been one-shotted by so many shit weapons that would have never done as much damage in IB or otherwise.
Vicarious Visions is done, so RIP Destiny on PC?
Hey guys. Imma try to be on tomorrow night and I have some.....news that I need to share with you guys.
I can't see any way that they'd stop supporting the second most populous platform in the game.
Knocked out my oracle offering and didn't realize this was week seven. Assuming the cutscene week counted, that means this cycle would finish the triumph as intended, so is this the final week of the dreaming city curse..? Or is Mara just not going to be in her court after this cycle?
I was talking about the PC platform. Bungie will always be a console developer first.
I don't think of or dislike fortnite. I worry about A. Publishing. B. Epic store exclusivity shenanigans. C. A repeat of the bullshit with the PS4. D. I'm petty and don't want to install yet another launcher.
On B, I'm ultra keen on Steam having competition, and I want that competition to grow organically and force steam to improve. I'm not interested in exclusivity bullshit. EA could have pulled it off, but EA is EA. On 90%, that is a pipe dream. When Epic wakes up to the fact that hosting data/bandwidth that changes and has to be seeded ain't cheap that number will change
Fireteam Chat is pointing out that in both the announcement of the split from Activision & the Weekly Update, Bungie slipped in Vault of Glass references.
Fuck yes, just got Jotunn
Edit: messed around with it in PVP/Gambit... unstoppable unless they know how to dodge lol
