I just got Whisper, Lord of Wolves, and Shards of Galanor. Lul

IMO the lord of wolves change is a buff. Especially in pvp where its one of the best shutdowns for supers. Its basically a burst shotgun Izanagi now

I honestly hate this bounties for lore bullshit.

I like it more than the 'open chest, hope for lore' approach used for the Cayde stuff. At least these are straightforward tasks you just need to complete.

I miss the good ole days of actually having story content and missions .. just sayin lol

While I don't disagree, I think they've said that wasn't a sustainable model for them, so I feel it's a moot point.

Also, just got home and saw the bounty requires competitive.. c'mon Bungie, what are you doing >.>

Based on my experience this season, I'd recommend only having seven bounties done in the dreaming city. I had eight done and when I cashed them in, and my reward was not powerful. My hope is that having one new bounty will fix that (or it was just a bug last season), but we'll see. If having any old ones ruin the bounty, it won't hurt you as you can't get enough bounties before the raid to knock it out only with fresh ones. The same logic probably applies to Hawthorne and Ikora.

I did this exact thing with my warlock for dreaming city (7 bounties complete before the update) completed the 8th and got a 650 helmet. Don't think it's a bug.

If you got the bounty before the update, it would be locked to the previous season, even if you had not finished it. That was one of the measures they put in place so people wouldn't horde things like IB bounties to quickly increase their level.

This a good time to come back to the game? I got a 30 I'd probably have to buy forsaken I guess. Does the annual pass give different content or something or is buying forsaken standalone good enough? I read there's a level 30boost with it which is nice.

And assuming main story is best for leveling then at 50 do those quests for 640s?

WORLD FIRST UPDATE - CROWN OF SORROW

This means, Power beyond certain levels will provide no advantage for a given fight (e.g., for the first fight all Power above 700 won't provide an advantage, and for the final fight Power above 720 will not provide an advantage).

We are going to deploy the update at 8AM Pacific and the game will be down until 10AM Pacific, so that as many players as possible can get through the download and verification step and be ready for Opulence launch.
