    2019 Content Roadmap
    Spoiler: show
With events, community challenges, new vehicles, additional enemies, new Cheats, and two huge expansions, RAGE 2’s calendar is pretty packed for the rest of 2019. Get the rundown on all things RAGE 2 with our “What Is RAGE 2?” roundup feature and dig into the post-launch plans with this handy 2019 roadmap.

    May

Starting the week of launch, we’ll be kicking off RAGE 2 community challenges. Complete these challenges together and everyone who takes part will be rewarded with free skins. Shatter the first community challenge and you’ll earn yourself the Vomit Comet Pistol skin. In order to receive your rewards for the community challenges, you’ll need to be online and signed in with your Bethesda.net account. New challenges will roll out every week in May and June, so keep an eye on the RAGE 2 Twitter account and the in-game Message of the Day to learn about the current challenge and prize.

In addition to the weekly community challenges, you’ll also get access to a brand new in-game event, “Bring the Ruckus,” featuring Ruckus the Crusher. Stay tuned to learn more.

    June

The first big game update arrives just a month after launch, with fresh community challenges, new Cheats, and a couple of pretty major events, including one that introduces a pilotable Mech as a new vehicle type and one that adds a massive new enemy to the wild world of RAGE 2. All that for free.

    July

July marks another big free update for the game, with another new vehicle type and enemy joining the game. We’ll continue dropping new community challenges, skins and Cheats for everyone to enjoy.

    August

In addition to a mountain of new events and other goodies, August brings RAGE 2’s first major expansion: Rise of the Ghosts. The Rise of the Ghosts expansion will add a brand-new storyline and region to explore, as well as new weapons, abilities and vehicles. See what the Ghosts have been up to since you last saw them in the first RAGE in Rise of the Ghosts.

    September – December

There’s plenty more coming to round out 2019, including the second major expansion coming in November. We’ll have more details soon, so keep an eye on Twitter for the latest info.

I've heard its short. The open world kinda bogs down the gameplay. The shooting is fun and the vehicular stuff is pretty meh.

It looks like fun but not $60 fun. Gonna save that for Doom Eternal tbh.

I'm a fan of Gameranx and I think this is a great before you buy. Biggest selling point to me for this game would be think DOOM fused with Mad Max. Game looks like a lot of fun. I rarely get a game at launch so we'll see how fast the price drops.

Thanks for that, Gameranx “before you buy” series is definitely great. I may end up waiting for Doom eternal now.

Rise of the Ghosts - September 26th
An old threat has returned to haunt the wasteland once again in RAGE 2’s first major expansion. Explore a brand-new region, face a lethal new faction, and gain access to a new weapon and ability in Rise of the Ghosts. Get more details on Rise of the Ghosts and how you can get in on the action below.

Walker Ain’t Afraid of No Ghosts

The Ghosts were once a terror in the wasteland. Ruthless, vicious, tactical and cruel, they took what they wanted and left no survivors. Following the Authority Wars, they were nowhere to be found. At the time, many people assumed they had simply been wiped out and they began to fade into wasteland legend. In reality, they had found a higher calling; a strange woman named Iris promised them power and glory if they did everything she said. Iris and the Ghosts fled to the Overgrown City, where for years they underwent intensive brainwashing and were subjected to experiments that left them with powerful and mysterious nanotrite abilities.

Now they’re ready to reclaim their place in the wasteland. Under the watchful eyes of Iris, the Ghosts will prove to be a formidable new foe for Ranger Walker. He’ll need to navigate a huge new region called the Overgrown City and put a stop to their uprising before the Ghosts can gain a foothold in the wasteland. Luckily, he’ll have the new Void ability and the Feltrite Laser Launcher to add to his already-impressive arsenal. Rise of the Ghosts also introduces the new Ghost Motorcycle to the game, which players will be able to find in the Overgrown City and bring back to their Garage.

    When, Where & How

Rise of the Ghosts will launch on all platforms on September 19. Download it from the in-game store for 1500 RAGE Coins ($15). You need to be online and signed into your BNET account to access the in-game store.
