I was expecting Thundercats Go levels of terribleness with the outrage over this. It’s not that bad to be honest. Just looks and feels extremely low budget lol.

Then why are Voltron and Ducktales a hit with both Kids and adult? they respect the source material while still having their own spin that appeals to both.
What is sad In 2002 CN rebooted He-Man. She-Ra was planned for Season 3, but sadly cancelled. look at how much love they had for her redesign back then(also her villains).
Voltron has an episode where Shiro gets stuck in an alternate universe and his alternate self is motherfucking Sven lmao. God I love that reboot.
This honestly does not look any better than the new she-ra to me. Shows can be good despite not having the best animation.

Not wild about it, but then I stop to remember most here are 20+ y/o dudes bitching about a show aimed at little girls.
Could be worse. What if it was popular and turned in to another MLP fandom.

I will give my impression on the show as I couldn't stomach more than a few episode(first 3 episodes and the last episode). 1- the show has no respect to the original show at all. 2- the character designs are ugly as fuck and no kid will want to own these toys. 3- they ripped off so many shit from Steven universe (look no further than Scorpia design). 4- she-ra voice sucks and doesn't know how to handle emotions. 5- I felt no sense of struggle to the characters(thanks to how they acted). 6- I hate the new bow and how he acts 7- the animation wasn't horrible but there is no sense of flow or excitement to the action, especially in the last episode. 8- why the fuck are shera and catra relationship feel like a lesbian couple than real friends ? Oh right we need to appeal to the Tumblr idiots.if you want a better girl/family show watch Hilda or Lego elves(fantastic hand drawn animation from studio Mir) both are on Netflix.
I found the first 2 episodes enjoyable, although I dislike the She-ra design, I do like the design of Adora.
Spoilers: This show seems to have the same storyline as Ni No Kuni 2.
So.. this got renewed and is coming back April 26th.
That will make my 3 year old very happy, shes a big fan.
I really enjoyed Season 1, even if I hated the She-Ra design (note: I hate the original design too)
My daughter loved the show. We actually ended up watching the first like ten of both the old and the new one. And I have to admit, while the animation is lackluster in the new one, the story is way better developed (my nostalgia goggles are crying).
I think us older peeps have to remember this isn't really for us. And I'm glad a new generation of girls can enjoy a kickass character.
