I have so many other 5* bases that don't have a buddy. I am really annoyed that I have yet to pull a second Fryevia. She is my go to for everything and is damn near BIS. Being heavily reliant on a full team of ice weapon DR chainers, not having any of them ready is annoying. Most of mine that are 7* ready that I see potentially or for sure using already have their TMRs done or will have in the next couple weeks. Most of them I have their fusion buddy TMRed too, unless I don't feel I need a second version of it (tank shields for example)

If we get the JP treatment we'll get 10 UoC tickets when the feature debuts so anyone can pick a second copy for a 7* if they feel like it. Or you can get a brand new unit as well.

Good lord, the amount of 7* ready and STMR ready units some of you all have is mind blowing to me. I have 0 STMR units and only 11 ready for 7*, with half of them being useful.

I only have cloud and noctis for stmr ready units, and even then, i’m more leaning towards me having 2x 7* noctis instead of his mediocre stmr and having them as chaining buds.

No 7* tanks or healers as of yet, but i have the following 7* off the top of my head.

My big problem is i’m not seeing anyone who can chain together properly, unless i pull Reagen x2 for his 7* to chain ice with Fryevia. Double Noct would be my only go to, unless some frames work together, i know enhanced mystic thrust for reberta changes it to 8 hits, not sure how that’ll go with Aileen. Meh

Most 7*s gain access to new chaining skills to go with more chain families (Lightning for example will be able to chain with Tidus). Not sure about Noctis honestly but I think all units have chain partners so unless you're missing those units altogether there's no harm in going for the STMR even if somewhat subpar. Besides some of those may get changed in GL anyway.

I have Seph/Loren/Wilhelm/Ayaka/Ramza/Barbie ready for 7*, so I'm fairly stacked with a good team from the get go I think. I want to use the first UoC ticket we get for a dupe T.Terra, then after that I don't really know what I'd want to get moving forward. Are 7* magic tanks needed for future content?

Fully 7* tuned content is just now rolling out in Japan as far as I know. 6* units will still be fine for quite a while after 7* is released.

Edit: It would be kind of fucked up to release content mandating a 7* magic tank right away when there will be exactly 1 that isn't event limited.

Had this same reaction a week~ ago on discord. Either some are just insanely lucky, or they've outspent me by magnitudes. Knowing what I've spent, it's a bit of a quandary. Miss Meana particularly and her hax 15~% daily rainbow rate.
