The memes write themselves. 0:22-0:28 lol.
so I have been adamant about not buying what sounds like a steaming pile, but the last few days before 5.0 has me in a lull, decided to see if this had been severely discounted yet. Not really, but lo and behold
Spoiler: show
Disregard for now, whatever free trial they're talking about isn't available yet, despite it being june 10th.
This fucking game.. xD
So you capture a workshop, spend a while building it up, putting out resource generators, setting up defenses. then you DC from the game and it's all gone. It' might take me to Shadowbringers, but in addition to that particular issue, there are enough bugs to leave little doubt who is behind it xD
Walmart.com is selling the Tricentennial Edition for $20 on PS4 and XB1 if anyone is interested in that.
Bit of a necro, but if you bought the Gamestop exclusive Nuka Cola Power Armor Helmet (not the one from the collectors edition of Fallout 76), it's being recalled due to mold under the interior cloth.
DLC 3 - Wastelanders - Delayed from November 2019 to Early 2020, Private Servers Launching This Weekhttps://fallout.bethesda.net/en/arti...-shop-and-moreWe’ve been hard at work on Fallout 76 this year, including our biggest free update yet, Wastelanders. We’re excited about how Wastelanders is coming together but it’s going to need more time to be the best, most polished update it can be, so we are delaying its release to Q1 next year. We’ve continued to re-evaluate and change our processes to make sure the work we’re doing hits our quality bar, and yours. We apologize for this delay but know it will be worth the extra time.
Wastelanders is turning out to be one of the largest expansions we’ve ever done, and it changes the entire world with human NPCs returning.
PRIVATE WORLDS COMING SOON
We’re happy to announce our work on the service for private servers is complete and will be launching next week! The ability to play in your own private world with your friends has been the number one community-requested feature, and we’re thrilled it’s finally coming. Our goal for players who purchase this service is to offer something for everyone, not just those who want a private server. Additionally, in the future you’ll be able to mod your worlds. Stay tuned for more information on the service in the coming days.
CHALLENGES, ATOMS, THE ATOMIC SHOP, AND YOU
We love that there are so many types of players within Fallout 76, and one of our primary goals is to reward everyone, no matter how you play. This includes our approach to earning Atoms through Challenges and the types of items to unlock with them in the Atomic Shop.
Our approach to these items at launch was to keep them purely cosmetic. But after looking at all the data, it became clear that to consistently deliver content that keeps Fallout 76 fresh and exciting for all, we needed to rethink our approach to the Atomic Shop.
While we had many ideas on what to add to the Atomic Shop, one of the ways was the direct result of the community’s feedback. We heard from many of you who wanted items with some real utility. Starting in April, we began adding items such as Repair Kits, Scrap Kits, the Collectron Station, and a working Refrigerator. These have since become the most popular category in the Atomic Shop. We’re also still working on all the previously announced items and new cosmetic categories.
We want to create an Atomic Shop experience where players feel good about spending their hard-earned Atoms. To make the system more fun and engaging for all players, we plan on reworking parts of the Challenge and reward system next year to be clearer, more fun, and more impactful for all types of players.
Of course, players can also buy Atoms, and we’re careful with everything we add to not upset the game’s balance. Our main objective is to avoid a situation where players can spend money to gain a competitive advantage or make the game worse for other players. Even more so, we want systems that allow players who do choose to buy Atoms to make the game better for others, not just themselves. With these principles in mind, we make careful decisions about the items we offer to keep it fair for everyone.
REMAINDER OF 2019 AND BEYOND
We still have a few more updates coming in 2019, including previously announced fixes to the existing game and quality-of-life improvements many of you have requested. We hope the extra time on Wastelanders will allow us to deliver many of these fixes this year.
We’re also still working on new events, the Legendary Player system, a public test server, perk loadouts, and so much more to come.
Thank you all again for your incredible support of our studio and Fallout 76. This year has been a rewarding journey for us, and your love of the game has pushed us to do everything we can to make it better and better. We love hearing your stories, like the amazing Wasteland Doctor, the love hotel, the brahmin death trap, and so many more. We love seeing what you create with photomode, our current favorite being the album cover art show.
We hope you’re as excited as we are for everything coming. We’re doing it all to ensure Fallout 76 remains vibrant and growing for years to come.
Thank you!
Bethesda Game Studios
Holy shit. Holy fuck. Bethesda is actually trying to make this an $18/month subscription game. What the hell are they thinking.
Trying to make it ESO+ but worse

Private servers & modding is locked behind membership access.
Ever since Fallout 76 launched, we have consistently worked to improve and evolve the experience based on your feedback. That’s why we’re excited to launch Fallout 1st, a premium membership that offers something players have been asking for since before launch: private worlds for you and select friends. In addition to this huge feature, Fallout 1st also includes a host of exclusive items and membership bonuses, all of which you can find detailed below. And the best part? Fallout 1st is available right now.
PRIVATE WORLDS
The community has been asking for the ability to play in private worlds since before the launch of Fallout 76, and we’re very excited to announce that they are coming to the game with Fallout 1st. If you’re a Fallout 1st member, how you use your private world is completely up to you: Invite up to seven of your friends at a time (eight total people per private world) to join you in taking on the dangers of post-apocalyptic West Virginia, or play completely solo. All gameplay remains the same from Adventure Mode and all characters entering the Fallout 1st private worlds must be existing characters.
Only the owner of a private world is required to be a Fallout 1st member. Head into your private world, open your Social menu once you’re in-game, and start inviting your friends to kick off the party. You can also create a squad outside of your private world and then switch to it to bring everyone along at once. Should the owner of the private world leave, the world will still stay active as long as one other player in the world is a Fallout 1st member.
Private worlds will continue to evolve with new features such as expanded building areas, increased C.A.M.P. budgets and Workshop persistence. We’ve also received a lot of questions about playing Fallout 76 with mods and this, too, is something we’re excited to add to private worlds in the future.
1,650 MONTHLY ATOMS & ATOMIC SHOP SALES
With a Fallout 1st membership, you’ll also receive a monthly bonus of 1,650 Atoms to use in the Atomic Shop on anything you want. Stock up on your favorite Atomic Shop items with the best value for an Atom bundle to date. Time to treat yourself and finally pick up that outfit or icon you’ve been eyeing. You deserve it.
As a Fallout 1st member, you’ll have access to exclusive discounts in the Atomic Shop, so not only are you getting bonus Atoms every month, you’ll get discounts on some sweet items to spend those Atoms on.
SCRAPBOX
As a member of Fallout 1st, you also gain access to your own private Scrapbox. Use the Scrapbox to store all your crafting components so they aren’t taking up space in your Stash Box. The Scrapbox has unlimited storage, so no need to worry about picking and choosing when it comes to hoarding scrap.
SURVIVAL TENT
Drop the new Survival Tent to quickly set up a forward operating base when you’re roughing it out in the wilderness during your next adventure. The Survival Tent comes complete with a Stash, Sleeping Bag, Scrapbox, Cooking Station, and even an instrument to help you wind down after a day of exploring Appalachia. Once placed, it will also act as a second fast travel point in addition your main C.A.M.P., giving you even more freedom to travel anywhere in the map without spending caps! You’ll be able to deploy your Survival Tent from your Favorites wheel.
(The Survival Tent and Scrapbox can be used in both public and private worlds by Fallout 1st members.)
RANGER ARMOR OUTFIT (New Vegas Armor)
Explore in iconic Fallout style with the Ranger Armor Outfit, available for Fallout 1st members.
ICONS & EMOTES PACK
Show off your membership status with a set of unique Fallout 1st player icons and emotes.
(The Ranger Armor Outfit, player icons and emotes must be claimed from the Atomic Shop while your Fallout 1st membership is active. If you cancel your membership after claiming them, you will still have access to them.)
MEMBERSHIP
Fallout 1st will be available as a one-month membership, or you can purchase a yearly membership for a 36% discount over the monthly rate as shown on our website. If you cancel your membership or it expires, you’ll still be able to access any Atoms received as well as the resources stored in your Scrapbox. Cancellation will be effective at the end of your then-current membership term.
Private servers aren't actually private as in you can't choose who can and cannot join it. If you decide to host a game, anyone on your friends list can join (up to 8 players) and if you log, the server shuts down.
From reddit
List of issues from the article that have also been reported on the fallout 76 subreddit:
1. The private worlds are not private or new. Users have reported loading these new worlds to find half of the stuff has been looted already and NPC's are dead suggesting these are re-used worlds.
2. You cannot lock your private world so if somebody sees you are online and active they can just join your instance
3. Multiple players are reporting that they have deposited hundreds of units of scrap in these new boxes, only to find that the box has eaten it. The scrap disappears from the instance, and can’t be found again from re-logging or anything. It’s just gone.
4. The rates for scrap collection have been nerfed too
Jesus, this is one of the biggest gaming fuck ups of the year.
Don’t know if it was intentional or not but they announced this whole debacle on October 23rd, the same day the nukes dropped in the FO universe. Fitting.
Also the same day outer world's dropped....this is the game that keeps on giving
These two videos are sadly unrelated. The battle royale mode is being overrun with hacks (flying, aimbots, clipping) and Bethesda is telling players there isn't enough evidence to issue bans, even if Bethesda is presented with video evidence. The ban wave was actually against dataminers, some of whom had even helped the dev team fix critical issues that were missed by Q&A.
Bethesda is in the process of fixing bugs, but they're holding off until Wastelanders to drop the patch. They still haven't found a fix for the scrap box bug, but for all First subs, they gave players a scrap kit of misc items including 50 weeks (time gated content) worth of a premium metal that's only obtainable from a challenging dungeon.
