Cautiously optimistic. I don't think I would mind teaming up with other players if I want to, but it would blow if when minding your own business you get silo nuked or mobbed by multiple players.
Going to wait for more details I suppose.

It's all online, they didn't say if it Xbox Live or PS Plus was required to play but I'm gonna assume so.
I'm definitely still interested but this won't be a day one for me given the buggy nature of new online games and shitty nature of people in general.
Mostly alone in a post-apocalyptic setting does kinda sound like it might lose its charm with xXSephirothXx running around with his pink powerarmor and ingame purchased minigun touting the flower on the head glamour he got from a dropbox

Quick summery:
- No offline
- Playing 'Solo' will still have you seeing other players
- No NPCs, excluding robots
- Vats will take place in real time
- PvP is still being tweaked to avoid greifing
- Modding will be present in 76 but not at launch
- Private servers will happen
Private servers at launch and will buy this.
Yeah, I'm losing steam on this now. I was annoyed before but no NPCs and no story? What's the fucking point?
With Death Stranding, Cyberpunk 2077, Shadows Die Twice, new Doom, and some other titles coming out I can easily pass on this. Main reason is like Zetanio said, no NPCs and no story? What's the fucking point?
Yeah... dick now limp. No singleplayer, no story? No Fallout.
It makes narrative sense for there to be no NPCs if your character is part of the first wave of people released from a Vault. That doesn't sound like it leads to a very fun world, though. Worst fears: it becomes griefing 24/7 with buggy gameplay. Best case scenario: Borderlands-esque style game set in FO universe.
No NPCs? I don't care about a post-apocolyptic Fortnite.
I've always wanted to run with a small team of Fallout Boys and Girls in my game, but always under the veil of a single-player-esque world where we were accomplishing tasks or quests, not simply dicking about either greifing or waiting to be greifed.
No thanks.
I still don't see how this ISN'T Fallout's version of Rust. Or Ark, or 7 days to die or half a dozen other "clan, base, survival" or w/e you call those games. Everything I've heard seems to point at the direction.
I mean sure I've played them with friends on private servers completely ignoring PvP aspect because fuck trolls. It might be fun for a few weeks with some friends if we can do that. However as a "Fallout" game... Idk. It seems like removing NPCs removes a lot of Fallout charm and reason why you explore the world in Fallout.
One day Bethesda will learn how to do Borderlands style co-op
Probably not.
