Bethesda is retconning Brotherhood of Steel lore from the Interplay games by having them appear out east hundreds of years early with tech that's even further beyond their means (vertibirds).

Not to mention the super mutants. Those should not exist in West Virginia at this point on the timeline, if at all. The fact that they exist on the East Coast is already a retcon to Fallout lore, having them out and about before they were even prevalent on the West Coast is pretty stupid. Then again, Fallout 76 in general is pretty stupid so it fits the bill. FEV creatures in general being widespread makes very little sense a mere 20 or whatever years after the bombs dropped, especially in an area that seems largely untouched considering the amount of life and foliage.

Yeah, I'm p sure this will exist in a vacuum, story-wise. I'd be shocked if they kept this large of a willy-nilly retcon in the main story.

All that said, what's the verdict on the gameplay?

I watched some game play videos and it looks like a prettier Fallout 4. I'm not a fan of the concept so I'll wait until this hits bargain bin to give it a go, if at all.

I see they haven't touched the janky ass power jogging animation. Then again, it is simply a prettier Fallout 4.

I fully expect it to. This bug has existed since Quake Champions came out.
