    Dying Light 2 (PC/PS5/XSX/PS4/XB1) - February 4, 2022

We are very close to our community, and we’ve clearly heard their requests for the new game. I know we kept them waiting, so I’m more than excited to finally announce: Dying Light 2 is coming. Dying Light 2 will be a truly bold sequel, combining the much loved Dying Light DNA with completely new ways to play. For the first time in the franchise, players will have the power to decide the fate of a decaying metropolis with their own choices and actions. Across the story, the melee combat, the parkour movement, and other aspects of the game, we’re giving players a completely new level of freedom.

    Published by Square Enix
Techland Publishing and Square Enix are proud to announce their Americas partnership to distribute the upcoming open-world action RPG game, Dying Light 2.

A bold sequel to the best-selling open-world zombie phenomenon, Dying Light 2 steps into a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been decimated by the infected.

"We couldn't be more excited to join forces with Square Enix. This partnership represents an incredible opportunity for both companies to bring Modern Dark Ages to audiences across Americas," - said Ed Lin, Head of Marketing at Techland. "Our partnership kicks off this year at E3 and we are looking forward to a great campaign that showcases the fan favorite Dying Light DNA in the expansive and savage world of the infected.”

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Techland on one of the industry’s most anticipated games, Dying Light 2,” said John Heinecke, Chief Marketing Officer at Square Enix. “The game is setting up to be an innovative, ambitious project, and we believe players will be delighted with what they deliver. This game fits incredibly well into our portfolio, and we’re looking forward to showing more at E3.”

Dying Light 2 brings to life a unique post-apocalyptic vision of a Modern Dark Ages - a brutal, bleak and unforgiving reality where you are as likely to perish at the hand of a human as you are by the infected. In this exhausted world, your quick thinking, exceptional parkour abilities and brutal combat skills are the only things that let you dive into darkness and emerge alive. Make ambiguous decisions and witness how they impact the world on multiple levels, transform the shape of The City, and ultimately decide it’s fate.

Powered by the C-Engine, a new generation of Techland’s in-house technology. Dying Light 2 is set to be released on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.

Dying Light 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the award winning open world survival horror action game, has returned to E3 with a gripping trailer. In it, we get our first glimpse of the game’s new protagonist as he navigates a world torn apart by the ravages of the infection, where every decision counts and death lurks around every corner.

Shown at the Xbox E3 2019 briefing, the new Dying Light 2 trailer offers another tantalizing glimpse of The City – a post-apocalyptic, modern dark-age outpost. Here, 15 years after the events of the first Dying Light, humanity ekes out an existence while brutal factions vie for power, and the infected skulk in dark buildings and basements until night comes and they can reclaim the streets.

The trailer introduces the game’s protagonist, Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor whose high-flying parkour skills and brutal combat ability make him a valuable asset in this crumbling metropolis. Through Aiden, the player will make impactful choices that shape the world as they play.

New details around the game have also been announced today, including the addition of music from celebrated video game composer Olivier Deriviere (A Plague Tale: Innocence, Vampyr, Remember Me, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag - Freedom Cry). Deriviere was responsible for the score heard in both the new trailer and the E3 demo, and will be continuing to compose for the full game.

Dying Light 2 will be published by Techland and distributed by Square Enix in the Americas.

So many improvements to the already fun elements of the original.
The only thing I'm wondering about is the atmosphere in the more lively environment

Looking forward to this game because the first was insanely slick and I loved the grappling mechanic.

For $18 I'd pick up the Enhanced Edition. Definitely sank over 20 hours into it.

It was a game I pirated, liked enough to buy on steam, and redid my progress to catch up to where I was.

Game play was great, plot development not so much. I paid 20 bucks for it and don't feel cheated at that price
