Ah yes, pure brutality, already loving this game!!

This game is amazing. If you even just liked the first one you'll love this. Feels much more like oldschool doom. Controls, movement and weapons. Everything feels great. Game is super optimized too. I have a 2070 and Ryzen 3700x. With everything on high and some on ultra while at 1440p I am constantly around 80 fps.
Feel like I've put over 20h in now and I'm still not done. Still at least 3 levels left. That said I'm gathering all of the collectibles so that's slowing me down a bit. Excellent game, 100% worth the money.
Beat the game, holy shit they really went balls to the wall with everything. I’m going to try a Nightmare run, but i beat it in Ultra-Violence difficulty. Nothing but brutality and just wanting more and more of it. Got 100% collectibles, had fun all the way through, btw if you want the gun mastery achievement, you must actually master all the gun upgrade challenges without using tokens.
D64 has a new level added that ties the game to 2016/Eternal.
I'm playing very slowly, mostly only on weekends. Halfway thru and loving it. The super cringe UAC hologram woman is the only thing I HATE about the same at far.

Was working to beat a few other games before getting to this and just.. goddamn.
id tech 7 is an absolute marvel of programming, able to play on Ultra Nightmare at 100+ fps on my laptop
Mick is out as series composer.
Update 1 is now live.
Lots of free content and features including those Nemesis demons that were in the trailers and were absent at release.
Also adds kernel level Denuvo anti cheat for multiplayer.
Steam possibly offering refunds to those with issues from the update.
I sent in my request, let’s see if they refund it.
Id looks to be backpedaling on the anti-cheat and the new update will remove it.
*just* beat the campaign last weekend. Kept putting it off cuz of other games but felt the last boss fight was pretty lame compared to spider mastermind from DOOM 2016. Everything else was fucking great, aside from the Marauders.

I got it recently and have only played a few stages because I feel like the level design is sort of bad. The combat areas feel a lot more cramped than DOOM 2016, so it leads to me constantly bumping into walls and other enemies while fighting. Also not a huge fan of constantly having to micromanage the flamethrower/chainsaw. I feel like ammo shortage was less of an issue in 2016. Both things to me just really disrupt the flow of combat, which was the best part of the last game.
Edit: Also the story seems like a bit of a wreck, I have no idea what the fuck is happening. Smaller gripe though, didn't pick it up expecting much of one.
