My computer is from 2016 and runs the game just fine, haven't had any issues other than a crash at one point.

Also as a side note to previous things I've done, if anyones wanting to boost their stealth, the Ryujin Industries story line eventually gives you a pretty dope Attire/Clothing that has +25% Stealth. It also comes with a matching helmet that does nothing but look cool. I think thats also where i got the Persuasion+10% Business suit.
also access to a skill at the end of the social tree without having to invest to get there
It doesn't make sense given how the new game plus works, but the bonus manipulation point stays around when you start over.
Ok so I wasn't crazy and astronaut outfits really were just not resolving their proper resolution.Graphics: Addressed an upscaling issue that could cause textures to become blurry.
What they're talking about is the game not taking into account mipmap bias resulting in textures looking slightly blurrier than they should. It could be configured manually via the config files.
A bias to counter the internal resolution being lower yeah? Will see when I have time to play if that means patches on character's suits are no longer pea-soup on my setup. I need to dump more time into the game, but the slacking off doesn't hurt me any given some of the QoL mods coming out that I actually want to make use of that I doubt Bethesda will do themselves (eg. StarUI).
[EDIT] Oh that looks much better.

Finally found a post by someone who has a similar rig to what I have, at least the same card. The game keeps capping out the RAM which causes it to crash.
just started my first New game+, really enjoyed the story, and am liking how they handle New Game+ so far too. I'm guessing I did every major "side story"/Faction quest. I.e, Ryujin, UC, Crimson Fleet, and the Rangers. If you guys know of any others do let me know. I kinda wish each planet got a little more to do in it. Akila for instance has a poverty issue, and you can do a side quest here or there where you either help a soup-kitched lady and also help a real-estate guy kinda set the field for helping he poor people there, but I couldn't find any other quests to that effect. Would have been nice if you could have followed through on those and helped build up the shit district of that city. Like donating Credits toward certain projects and seeing them built over time, simple city building gameplay type stuff. Kinda like how you rebuilt the Dark Brotherhood hideout in Skyrim ya know?
In Waterworld which name escapes me, the big douchebag at the top and all the corruption they talk about, I never really got to the end of it. The warring crime gangs, The Syndicate, Mr Corrupt leader himself whos possibly funding said gangs, a lot of lore hinted at there and I couldn't really find a story to lead me down that vine. I'd of loved to pick a side in the gang war and wipe one of them off the map, or both off the map and end up making the city a little safer. Tackle the corrupt leaders, corrupt police, stuff like that. I couldn't find the threads of those quests but they could be there... idk.
There were bits and pieces of that where I felt like each major city simply didn't get the time and love it deserved, like all of them had a lot of loose ends never tied up... kinda super unsatisfying. Like every city just hints at bigger pictures but they didn't want to do anything that would majorly impact each place.
Maybe I'm just coming down from Baldur's Gate 3 high but damn I felt like I was outside looking in on a lot of the political stuff and major lore of the cities. I straight up tried to murder mr Bayu or whatever that pricks name was and bullets just phase through him. Infuriating, and deeply unsatisfying.
But as for my first playthrough...
Spoiler: show
I really liked the (spoiler free) one involving Terrormorphs. The ice planet was amazing, I dug the "Ruined city overtaken by snow" vibe, was great, wish there was more.
Overall, really enjoyed the game despite my complaints. Think in my NG+ world i'll start going out into those level 60+ Areas just to see whats out there, and try to get into base building and such this time now that I have the proper skills.
Having finally beat BG3, I'm coming in hot on this one.
Anyone got any noob tips and tricks for me?
Hero Worshipped and Kid Stuff are great traits.
Whenever you come across the "Secret Outpost!” item read it and do the quest ASAP, it's a great way to get higher tier armor early.
Melee weapons suck ass, don't bother.
i went through the game on the hardest difficulty meleeing, you get stupidly broken when specced for it. if you ain't going space ronin tho ya underwhelming.
Stealth in this game is good when it works, but kinda sucks ass in a lot of areas. Enemies have immaculate sight, even with capped Stealth Traits and Stealth bonus armor (you get from a certain story mission). Some areas also seem designed for stealth not to work with enemies who see you the microsecond you come into frame across the map. A few story missions had this feeling.
Darkness helps but even at night at a very long range its difficult to stay stealthed, even with a Silenced weapon. I don't even know why Melee stealth exists tbh, shits nearly impossible to pull off on more than 1 enemy in a group or loose group.
Either way, I took up stealth and you can make it work, but its nowhere near as effective as Skyrim, 9/10, unless you dumpster your companion I suppose, you're going to end up in a gunfight. Without a companion you might have a chance of re-hiding easier.
Stealth mechanics are not good in this game and they clearly knew it when designing some missions. Missions with a heavy stealth focus are usually more about finding alternate routes through areas (like vent shafts)
I can already tell I'm gonna need to control my inner completionist and not try to get every checklist completed on every planet. There's too much random stuff in this. Gonna try to do a slightly more story focused run and see how that goes.
If a quest isn't sending you to a planet it's generally useless outside of farming for a specific resource.
I have found the exploration to be the most fun. I have over 150 hours across two characters. A lvl61 with half the galaxy explored and one I started a week ago for a legit playthrough.
