The third-person shooter takes place in an alternate history 1991, where humanity is battling back from a devastating nuclear war in Central Europe. Set in Norway, early assets show massive mountains and sweeping vistas. The game appears to be instance-based, with engagements for groups of eight to 16 players. The game will include crafting as well as some form of base building. Other screens show a mix of NATO and Warsaw Pact weaponry as well as melee weapons like hunting knives.

Bohemia Interactive said that Vigor will launch with a for-pay Premium Founders Pack some time this year, and transition to a free-to-play model in 2019 and beyond.
