Yeah but grind da puck and intangibles amirite?

It's like Bergevin is completely out of touch with reality. He had better offers last year for Galchenyuk. Arizona robbed them blind.
2x3.15 for Domi
Domi is literal human garbage
The only people actually defending the trade are clueless Habs fans. Possibly Rata too, I cant tell by his initial comments if the lols are self-loathing lols or "fuck ya we got rid of coke head Galchenyuk" lols.

I literally cant even"I encourage you to check out Max Domi highlights on YouTube. His energy and enthusiasm are off the charts." - Bergevin
His energy and enthusiasm is also usually off the ice, because he's in the penalty box for half of every game.
Bye Pacioretty.@StuCowan1
#Habs GM Marc Bergevin still has policy of not talking about contract negotiations but says at this point he expects captain Max Pacioretty to be back with the team next season.
Just a reminder:
2016: "I am not shopping PK Subban"
2017: Sergachev wont be traded
2018: Patch traded????
Barry Trotz resigned from his job
Doesn't matter, won cup. <3 u Trotz, Isles will pay good money I'm sure.
Honestly, I think he wanted a massive Babcock extension and I don't know if that would be good. He was literally a moment away from being fired, his use and development of young players has been awful and the Caps already have a replacement for him in the staff. There were rumors he was annoyed that Reirden was being looked at for eventual replacement and the Caps didn't want other teams taking him.
Pierre LeBrun @PierreVLeBrun
Barry Trotz had a clause in his contract where if he won the Stanley Cup he could accept a two-year extension with a $300k bump in salary. Obviously since he was only making $1.5M, low by today's NHL coach's standards, a $1.8-million salary doesn't cut it. So Trotz stepped down.
Point of clarification on the Trotz contract: as per the clause in his contract, winning the Stanley Cup automatically triggered the two-year extension with the modest raise so really, he had no choice but to step down unless he was happy with that extension and terms.
Step down to then sign to better terms? I could see that.
He stepped down after negotiations stalled, it sounds like. He's a UFA now, WSH have given other teams permission to speak to him.
From the sounds of it he might even take a year off.
As I thought, GMBM said Trotz wanted 5 years, @5m per (Babcock/Quennville money). Caps really didn't want to do 5 years, and offered less term and slightly less money. GMBM said he doesn't think Trotz's demands were unreasonable, but he didn't budge and the Caps weren't willing to go that high or long.
Babcock is making 8x6.5, to be slightly more specific.
