    Stress test software

I got a laptop I want to stress test. It was having severe issues, and wound up having the motherboard replaced. It seems to be good now but would like to stress it out to make sure it doesn't take a shit the second I issue it out like before. Any recommendations for something free?

Can also use Unigine for benchmarks.

Oh, and SiSoft Sandra Lite has a good general burn-in test. https://www.guru3d.com/files-get/san...wnload,11.html

Furmark was (and maybe still is) the way to go for GPU stress testing.
But CPUID (the folks that made CPU-Z) released a tool that can stress out CPU and GPU and apparently supports AVX (that is pretty much needed to fully stress intel CPUs): https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/powermax.html

Niya; I think the best way to stress test a gpu is a game or something that stresses it to the max. Right now, I think the best bet (for free) is The Final Fantasy XV Benchmark. Furmark might also work but it's kinda old now and a lot of newer GPUs might just sneeze at that. A newer game demo might also work if there is one. ^^ (I used the XV bench for a stress test for my 1060 btw after the driver mess I had recently.)

But I'll look into that as well, not everyone has the time to go huntin' demos and benchmarks, I bet. ^^

Oh, forgot to mention Intel's burn in test. I use that after overclocking CPU. +1 for CPUID being another great tool. Regarding games vs actual benchmarking software, the latter will always put more stress on the GPU. Right now I'm messing with a system that is a guaranteed bottleneck for certain games. However, Unigine's SUPERPOSITION brings the GPU to it's knees (HD 7870 2GB). It's no different than testing high end GPU's using something like SUPERPOSITION vs an in game bench, which I did when Valley was Unigine's newest bench.

Oh should mention that GPU burn in isn't really necessary as it's just an integrated Intel graphics since these laptops are for office work.
