Wow no joke, that was short-lived. https://variety.com/2018/film/news/a...ie-1202920903/
“I’m no longer doing that movie,” he told the outlet. “I’m sure there are 25 guys who can play that part.” Baldwin also cited “scheduling” issues to USA Today, but just earlier on Wednesday, he had taken to Twitter to dispel rumors that his Thomas Wayne would be inspired by Donald Trump. Baldwin won an Emmy for portraying Trump on “Saturday Night Live” last year, and is up for another Emmy for the role this year.
“Let me state, for the record, that I have NOT been hired to play a role in Todd Phillips’ JOKER as some Donald Trump manque,” Baldwin wrote. “That is not happening. Not. Happening.”
I hope Stephen Baldwin takes his place
Spoiler: show

I have no idea what to think or how to feel about this movie lol
At least they shaved his mustache this time...
Images from the set. I feel like he would've nailed the look with the right makeup.
Spoiler: show
Looks like a gd Juggalo..........
Why is the blue...so much? other than that and the nose... the suit looks good.
I'm just assuming it's before he gets skin bleached or whatever the fuck makes him more traditional Joker. Otherwise, just seems to want to tap into the scary clown motif with the lack of precision and drippiness.
looks fine, people were crying about how Ledger looked too given it was so different from Nicholson's. end of the day the performance matters not the makeup.
it was kind of Jared Leto to let us know his performance would be as shitty as his makeup ahead of time tho
Douglas Hodge (The Night Manager/Penny Dreadful) cast as Alfred Pennyworth & Dante Pereira-Olson (You Were Never Really Here/Jessica Jones) cast as Bruce Wayne

Marc Maron on Why He Joined the Filmhttps://www.nme.com/news/film/marc-m...-movie-2466904I think it’s a very interesting approach to this world. I’ve been somewhat judgemental when it comes to comic book movies and I’ve got a little pushback in the press for being a hypocrite. Whatever I think, if you get a call and someone says, ‘Hey do you wanna do a scene with Robert De Niro and Joaquin Phoenix?’ your principals fall to the wayside.
If it’s relative to what I think of Marvel movies then it’s like, ‘Yeah, of course I’m gonna do that’. Oddly, it’s not that kind of movie. The approach that Todd Phillips has taken is more of an origin story and a character study of a mentally ill person that becomes The Joker. It’s more of an intimate and gritty movie with a very specific scope. It’s going to be really interesting to see how it comes out.
I'm down.
....Yeah why not. Day one for me.
he looks ridiculous as athur but kinda badass as joker. not sure if i want to see the movie but i'm definitely intrigued
Kind of worried we're supposed to somehow feel sympathetic for him and it's just a tragic fall into insanity or Joker's flavor of it.
