When watching the film, I immediately noticed one of my favorite comedians, Gary Gulman, during the stand-up routine. It was just a cameo but reminded me he had a new HBO special out. I had no idea Gary was going through some serious mental illness/depression and makes his cameo that much more on-the-nose for the Joker. His special is really eye-opening towards depression with some seriously dark humor. Thought I would share in case anyone was interested in seeing his stuff.
My dude Greer Barnes is in one of the first scenes. Go check him out if you're not familiar. Dude is hilarious and it's a shame he's never gotten bigger.
finally saw this. so good, but really difficult to watch. too much mental illness in my family.
Just saw it. Loved it!
Finally saw it. The music, whoever composed it, was fucking phenomenal and needs to win the Oscar for best score

‘Joker’ Set To Bank Near Half-Billion In Profit, On Par With ‘Avengers: Infinity War’: The Breakdown
tl;dr Joker is on par with and might actually beat the top marvel movies in terms of profit... and that's without a Chinese release
holy shit, look at what happens when you make a movie that doesn't suck. who'd have thunk it?
It's estimated to beat Deadpool as the highest grossing R rated film too which I wasn't expecting.
I'm still kinda eh on the story. Like everything about the movie worked except what was actually happening in it.

Incoming R rated dark, psychological mind-fuck origin movies for Riddler, Penguin, Scarecrow, Bane, etc, etc, etc.
All of them somehow tying together to somehow lead to Bruce's parents murder
Two Face could be interesting if they use the Big Bad Harv angle from TAS
Saw it yesterday and it exceeded all my expectations with already knowing everyone thought it was great. re his Girlfriend:

Saw this finally - really amazing film, maybe Phoenix's best acting work. God did he do a good job of portraying mental illness.
