Apparently the subs are bad. They're just using the dub script for it. I'll probably wait for a group to fansub it then. It's been available in NZ for something like 16hrs already. EU should have just gotten it too.

The versions floating around the internet right now are Japanese audio only, haven't seen any with the english dub yet though that might be coming tomorrow with the official NA release on Prime

Not in the original series. The Rebuild series Asuka is called Shikinami instead of Sohryu and apparently one of the reasons for the name change is because the background story of the characters differs in the movies - in her case she has a different background story and in general has a different persona from the original Asuka.
