Mbappe misses a sitter, Bayern have a p legit penalty claim, ref says no soup for you. Halftime
I think I'm only now sobering up after last night
grats on your trophy and your decidedly non-sober celebrations
I think we're building a team that can dominate the next few years. Of course anything can happen in a CL (especially if they do one leg games again) but I'm pretty excited.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are among 12 clubs who have agreed to join a new European Super League (ESL).
In a seismic move for European football, the Premier League clubs will join AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid.
The ESL said the founding clubs had agreed to establish a "new midweek competition" with teams continuing to "compete in their respective national leagues".
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Uefa and the Premier League condemned the move to launch a European Super League when news of it broke on Sunday.
World governing body Fifa has previously said it would not recognise such a competition and any players involved in it could be denied the chance to play at a World Cup.
Uefa, Europe's governing body, reiterated this warning on Sunday when it said players involved would be banned from all other competitions at domestic, European or world level and could be prevented from representing their national teams.
Ya this shit is fucking awful and better not end up happening.
Yeah very awful.
Let it go ahead, let the teams secede, blacklist them and just get on with the regular football. Fuck ‘em
Jose Mourinho sacked by Spurs.
I thought people would be in favor of it cuz FIFA/UEFA are corrupt as fuck....but then again, I know not much about soccer
Here is the statement made by the Real Madrid president, Perez.

And some stuff about Barca losses."The monopolies are over. Football is on the verge of bankruptcy. Not the big ones, everyone. If there is no money in the big ones, they don't buy players from others. It's a pyramid."
“Real Madrid in two seasons have lost 400 million euros, and that's just Real Madrid.
“That's how we started working. We came to the conclusion that by doing a Super League during the week, instead of the Champions League, we would be able to mitigate the lost income.”
Its these teams who have spent unbelievable transfer fees for players like Dembele (honestly, just read his panic transfer story its insanely stupid), Hazard. Its these teams who have created the inflation. Its these teams who have released their top scorer for free.
Thanks to their poor management a player fee quadruples as soon as a big club shows interest, regardless of his ability or true value.
On the other hand, look at how successful Bayern is. They have only once paid more than $45mil for a player.
This league is basically a bailout for clubs thinking they are too big to fail; well maybe they are indeed but the way out is not another system that will continue supporting more $200,000,000 transfer fees.
I could possibly argue for it but they expect to retain their places in their respective domestic leagues which is absurd. The financial power gap would be increased even more than it is with this new source of income between that of these teams and the other clubs. Absolutely ridiculous.
No doubt it’s going to be a very interesting week for football.
Very much Palpatine vibes there. His interview is full of lies and he's acting like they are saving football when they are here to just line their own pockets.
Also laughable to claim they didn't invite Bayern, BVB and PSG now they they turned them down.
Chelsea and Manchester City have decided to begin the process of pulling out of the proposed European Super League, sources confirmed to ESPN.
The Chelsea news was first reported by the BBC and confirmed by ESPN's James Olley, while the Sun first reported Manchester City, which was confirmed by ESPN's Rob Dawson. Neither side have officially commented about the decision.
It would be terrible for small/medium teams in Europe something like this, but can´t deny fifa/uefa are corrupted as hell, i don´t want this to happen, but these teams move so much money and power so it could happen (and if it happens other big teams may join too like PSG or Bayern), at the end is all about money.
In the other hand, it would be great to have a league with only top teams, like NBA or Basket Euroleague, having big games every week would be nice for the public.
Looks like it’s starting to crumble already...Woodward resigned from Man Utd too. Wonder if the remaining team’s owners will stand defiant and push on with this idea
