I like it more than originally, but that's not much. The previous stand alone series were so fucking good all around that the plot needs to be amazing on this for it to be worth watching for me as the animation ain't doin' it.

Those stills make it look like a Telltale game or Borderlands.
Been watching this, up to E6 now. Dubs aren't up cuz of the 'rona and Netflix's subtitling can be terrible with not displaying text, but so far it actually seems pretty decent. Though time will be needed to get over the character aesthetics.
I personally am waiting to see who they get for the dub cast, wasn't a big fan who Funi got Arise so will see if netflix brings the OG cast back in.
I haven't watched any of it yet but bringing back the original dub cast is a must. It would make it so much better.
Still no clue who they intend there, but also haven't seen any tweets from any VAs about it yet.
If you watch the preview in Netflix the trailer is in english.
It does sound like the original english cast tho, which for me it made a universal difference in accepting the cg style they used.
Watched the 1st episode, p solid(idk about the opening song tho lol)
The animation is weird, some things look really nice and other stuff not so much, mouth movements and togusas face.
Other than that tho, pretty good, it's got the Gits feel, unlike arise which really needed it lol
Does sound like Mary McGlynn and Aramaki's VAs. Didn't hear Batou (Richard Epcar) or Togusa (Crispin Freeman) to be 100% sure, though.
And yeah, the environments are almost always pretty good, but character animations can be a janky at times. Togusa definitely got beat with the ugly stick in general. For the most part, what we have didn't go into the utter philosophy wank like S2 of SAC did, and the cliffhanger likely set us up for the overall villain of the season. Batou's pretty much a bro, though, which is really hammered home in an episode that focuses mainly on him. Can't say I'm a fan of the new girl, though, but that's more because I don't think kawaii genki desu really fits in this franchise.
The more I look at it, the more I hate CG, looks straight out of cheap early 2000's kid shows... Maybe I can look past it if the writing, story, and pacing is good.
I binged watched the whole thing last night. It has a really good story and pace. Although the CGI is awful.
It ends in a cliffhanger. So now I have to wait for more episodes!! gahh!

No thank you sir, I don't want any.
Aside from it looking like a PS2 game and the new character I like this, but that new character is awful.
If you fail to be cuter than a tachikoma you should probably not exist.
Old dub cast getting back in now
