Koepka was always just a matter of time, kind of surprised he wasn't one of the early group. Morikawa, Schauffele, and Hovland were also rumored during the Open, but Morikawa has shot that down today, and I think Schauffele has said that right now it's not for him. There were supposed to be 2 top-10 ranked golfers announced today, so I don't know if that was Morikawa/Hovland (doing process of elimination, Cam Smith and Cantlay would be the likeliest of the rest), but there hasn't been a peep.
And the PGA has just announced that starting next year they're adding 8 events, some scattered through the season, though focused on the fall. No cuts, top 50 in the previous year's FedEx Cup, $20million+ purse each. So that's basically LIV outside of the signing bonus?
it hasn’t been confirmed he joined LIV yet but this is extremely funny (he literally ragequit the tournament and left without even submitting his scorecard)

IMO the lawsuit was always just a game to try to further expedite their OWGR application. Which they sorta have a point as Monahan is on the board of approval. But I don't think they ever intended for it to be anything more now that they're still waiting.
Also could be pulling that out my butt, what the hell do I know. Love seeing the BG golf thread bolded tho
hey fellas, it’s been a while. masters right around the corner. but first, laffs

(most people say it’s unenforceable and would force LIV to show their revenue to justify the damages, which would be hilarious)
i cannot wait for liv to fold so we can stop hearing about it. i enjoy the schadenfraude as much as the next guy but fuck
Oh no are there chatgpt bots already lmao
is that bad
seems bad
write that up on a hazard observation card as a Near Miss
no one's hurt, and you can look like an eager participant at the next safety meeting
LIV golfers coming back to win The Masters and destroy the course on the way out.
But for real, glad nobody was hurt.
Not a golf guy whatsoever, but growing up we lived next to a golf course in Madison, owned by a country club. Nothing exciting, never had big tournaments or whatever, only claim to fame is it's the course Steve Stricker grew up playing on.
Well, my parents still live there, and they've been redoing the course completely the past couple of years. Now it's renamed "TPC (Tournament Players Club) Wisconsin" and will host PGA Tour Champions events yearly.

LIV, DP, and PGA Tour announced they are merging together.
wat
Everyone who skipped out on LIV contracts to save face just gonna be playing with all those guys anyways
what an absolutely incredible kick in the balls from PGA ownership to the players that didn’t run for the money, the LIV brand is dead but now the pga is a for-profit league
