It's true, I got peaches from mom, pear from a resident and orange and apples from islands, cherry was my native fruit. Bamboo and coconut from island.

You can make your own pseudo tarantula island by scaring off all bugs, digging up every flower digging up every stump, rock and all the game will have left to spawn is tarantulas on the island, but at a much less frequent rate of the specialty island.

If you mean Char, they're decently rare. Just make a bunch of fish food with clams and hope for the best. They're medium sized fish like dace and a few other fish I forget now.

The beginning of this game feels like a free to play mobile game without the ability to pay money to play the game. The fact you have to exploit the system time to play the game for more than 10 minutes a day without resorting to mindless farming is unfortunate. Just opened up the Nook Cranny shop and with the 3 houses it seems like there's finally a good chunk to do. I dont remember New Leaf being this bad, but that was a while ago.

100% random but specialty islands either can't spawn or spawn much more rarely before your 7th day
