Rooting for all these players in a vacuum is fun as hell, but it's annoying knowing that none of this will matter so long as the Warriors have home court advantage in a series.

I don't get that logic. Game 7 at home isn't a guaranteed win. It helps, sure, but all it takes is some cold shooting on one side to swing the balance.

It does take some drama out of the excellent Nugs/Blazers series since it doesn't appear that either is on the Warriors/Rockets level but it's still fun. The players all care and are playing really hard.

And I think the East champion will put up a hell of a fight and could very well win the finals

and man, i know it ain't quite over yet but what a horrible season for Boston if it winds up the way it's looking to. to go out in the 2nd round after last season's ECF and getting your two all-stars back smdh. and one of the Philly/Toronto squads are in for similar disappointment, there are just too many good teams with championship aspirations at the top of the East. at least out West everyone but Houston has accepted Golden State will stomp them.

The reason I'm saying it's almost insurmountable is because the Warriors are more than capable of beating anyone on the road. Defending home court AND winning one in their building is a hard feat.

Yeah, I agree. Especially if they'd taken game 3 or 4 against against Houston but given that series is even I think they look a little more vulnerable

and so the Kyrie era in Boston ends with a whimper. outside of game 1 he's been a terrible rythym-killing low-efficiency chucker, Hayward has been borderline unplayable, Rozier has been absolutely unplayable, Tatum with his worst playoff series by far. just a dismal team performance. Horford ain't deserve this.

wild how the wheel turns a year ago you'd say the Celtics had maybe the brightest future of any team in the NBA and they turn in this shitheap of a season. still a nice young team with nice assets but a whole lot of soul searching coming up this offseason.

should give credit to big Bucks too, Bud has built a beautiful offense surrounding Giannis with 4-out shooting and slashy guards. front office did work as well, Mirotic Hill and Connaughton are all solid two-wayers that slot in perfectly into the system. we'll see how real their defense is next round when they have to play a team that isn't missing their best player / actively self-destructing but they're playing like real title contenders.

that's a start, but he's gonna cost, and both point guards on this team are prolly walking this year. you add in Marcus Morris (who was their 2nd most consistent non-cancerous player after Horford) looking to get paid on his last big contract and you got a lot more questions than just do you dump Tatum and picks and whatever else for AD.
