Not that I expected nor was I angry that DeGrom didn’t have a unanimous vote; the logic behind the lone dissenting vote is so mind-blowingly stupid and outdated.

God this makes me rage lol
He spoke to a former cy young winner who said "wins are all that matter, ya gotta pitch to your run support." And that was enough to convince him. Jesus Christ. Are we supposed to to believe Scherzer gave up extra runs on purpose when he had leads? And that would somehow make him more deserving.
This dude is an embarrassment to logic.

"Pitch to your run support" is the dumbest shit I've heard in awhile.
Though I guess it explains why the Sox kept using Kimbrel I guess?
He was also taking the advice that wins > everything from a guy with a career losing record so... oops?
I mean, if you have a 6 run lead in the 2nd you want to fill up the strike zone and make sure not to give free baserunners, but that's such a specific circumstance you can't extrapolate it to a pitcher's season.

Considering it's the Mets it's probably safe to assume deGrom was likely never working with a 6 run lead.
Jesus fuck that made my head hurt. That's right up there with the "No one should be in the HoF on their first vote so i'm going to leave this guy off even though he absolutely should be in and I'll vote for him next year" line of thinking.
Yankees finalizing deal with Seattle for James Paxton. Seattle to receive 3 prospects.
Adrian Beltre retiring
Braves signed Donaldson to a 1 year 23 million contract.
Oh snap. Kewl

Just saw about J-Do. I might be watching the Braves more than the Tigers this year.
McCann also went back to the Braves on a 1 year deal. Donaldson is very much a low risk high reward as he's betting on himself to get a 2-3 year deal next year.
Read also that the Giants are entertaining talks on Mad Bum. Would be bitter sweet if they trade him, but the way the team is now, with a barren farm system, we should just consider tearing it all down. I'd say the only two that shouldn't be traded under any circumstance is Crawford and Posey. Would love to see them try to trade Belt, but that guy's brain is made of jello the way he get concussed every year.
Donaldson will be a nice bridge to one of our top prospects next year, Austin Riley

A's in their infinite stupidity has decided to zero in on the Howard Terminal for their new ball park. Hey let's build a fucking stadium where the only fucking public transportation is our shitty AC Transit bus system and help clog up the already congested and shitty roads there when we have plenty of land connected to a mass public transit system already in existence.
The design looks cool at least.
If I still lived in the Jack London square area I'd probably like the location, tho I also lived right next to a BART stop so it's not like getting to the Black Hole or Oracle was a problem anyways.
Yeah I mean if you don’t mind walking a mile, there’s the 12th street station but yeah, going to be rough to get there.
Seattle and the Mets are close to a trade that would send Edwin Diaz and Robinson Cano to New York and receive multiple top prospects back
Mariners trusting The Process I guess. They're also giving the Mets a shit ton of cash.
At least tickets will be cheap next season, which is nice since I literally work across the street from Safeco.
Or I guess T-Mobile Field as it's going to be called next year.
