I thought that was only 1.5-4mil though and not the 17+ from the NFL.
The 4.6 was a minor league contract. MLB was going to let him have a major league contract like they allow for international players such as Cuba, so he could have gotten as much as a nfl contract and pretty much be assured he’s making the majors in 1-2 seasons as he would have to remain on the forty man roster.
Dude was still going to get 20-40 million
Okay, I would have chosen baseball then.
Here’s one mentioning 15 million https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/col...eball-football
Not home but read that they were going to have the option to tie it to his draft prediction which would be 15-30 million on top of the near five million they gave him with the minor league contract
Bochy announced this is his last season managing and will retire after the season.
Machado to the Padres for 10 years 300 million.
Yup. I expect Harper to the Phillies for 10 and 325
Are there even other quality MLB players on the Padres? What's the point...

Apparently there’s an opt out after the fifth year.
I’m surprised the clubhouse and bullpen monitors weren’t already on a 7-8 second tape delay.
Yeah that's what will probably happen if not very close just to edge out Manny. I don't see any one else other than Philly anymore really.
Hope tickets don't go up in price too much, that's my 2nd favorite place to catch a ball game when I don't feel like driving to Baltimore because Yankee stadium is too expensive and annoying.
