Final trailer:
Great start
It's good.
Fuck, that scene with Bucky at Yori's apartment threw me.

Well that was a dumb move by Falcon
Bucky stuff was really good, the Sam stuff was mediocre to awful. The opening action sequence with Falcon was just...probably the worst Marvel action sequence since they really got their toes wet in phase 1.
I immediately like Bucky’s therapist and despise Sam’s new military little bro sidekick.
Wholeheartedly disagree about the opening action sequence, I thought it was great.

I get that they want to show the fallout of The Blip on a street level, but "Falcon Takes Out a Loan" is just not a good hook for your latest Avengers property.
Pretty much my take. Bucky making friends with one random old guy then realizing he killed his son felt awkward. I'm down for a slow burn, but for a six episode series, it felt like the first episode just went nowhere. I'm sure it'll all turn out fine as it continues on.
Bucky didn't "realize" he killed his son, that's the whole reason he befriended him. Part of his trying to make amends.
Wait are you sure about that? I thought his whole thing was trying to make amends. What are the odds of him just making friends with the dad of a guy he killed without knowing about it prior to that?
That's how I took it since he suddenly panicked during the date and ran back and saw the little shrine to him. Maybe it's more of a subconscious draw or something, but with that sudden shift, I didn't really take it to mean he knew before hand. The whole odds of him doing it is what kinda bugged me about it.
Edit: To clarify, I thought the same. Dream he killed the kid, therapy showing he's making amends, meet old dude he's known for weeks, guy breaks down about his son while eating sushi. Had they left it there, I'd still think he was just being his friend to make amends. Toss in the date ditching and panic at seeing the shrine, I'm not so sure.
Yes, Bucky is "My name is Earl"-ing this shit. That's what his notebook is, it's a name of people he has wronged. The old dude was on the list. He knew he killed his son the whole time and is there to make the man's life better since he fucked it up.
He even talked about crossing off his list with the Senator flashbacks with his psychiatrist.
He panicked because he was probably there to confess and when he saw the shrine he couldn't do it.

You only liked the content with white people. Got it.
I'm kidding. (Bad joke) I thought the Falcon action scene was pretty cool. Not the best action scene in the MCU but far from the worst.

Honestly I enjoyed seeing more of the personal stuff with Wilson and Barnes over the action. I'm a sucker for anything with the everyday lives of MCU characters. My wife didn't watch any trailers for this so watching her reaction to the US Agent reveal was great.
