is the most saddest fucking thing ever. Loki had already reformed. He had changed. He already had made the turn to be a good- no, fucking GREAT guy- and he still had to make a massive sacrifice worse than death. Look at all these other “sacrifices” characters make. They blow themselves up or trap themselves in another dimension, and then they’re fine by the end credits. But Loki… he no longer wanted power. He just wanted friends. So instead he ends up with so much power and control that he no longer even wants, and horrible, never ending loneliness. And there’s only 5 people in the entire fucking multiverse who even know what he did. God, I wish the rest of the MCU was written even half as well as this.
