raiders will draft first overall. book it
raiders will draft first overall. book it
people thought the goff/wentz class was weak too
someone will trade up
(just looked at the rest of the qbs in that draft and oof)
And thats another comparison too. People said the Gurley pick was stupid for the rams. They picked up Goff later, and called him a bust rookie season. Look at them now.
It’s stupid. I remember posting this very same statistic on this forum that the hit or bust rate for first round QB picks is like 70%+ something.
And that’s not an excuse to NOT pick up a QB. It’s just a supporting statistic that picking up a “franchise qb” in the first round is vastly overrated versus a generational player like Saquan.
I think you gotta draft based off of the talent that's coming up. If there isn't going to be a good qb coming up for a few years, you should probably take one in a class where a bunch are expected to at least be good enough to last in the nfl for a few years
i mean, especially when you consider that a lot of the starting rbs in the league right now are 3rd rounders. hunt/kamara/cook/mixon/kerryon/chubb/conner/david johnson/etc
a 1st round rb is when your roster is loaded. chargers/rams/cowboys/jags all have 1st round rbs but they also all have good olines and dlines. giants have neither
the giants should keep eli for like three more years
plz
Wait til Herbert is styling on you niggas while Wentz is out with another ACL injury and Prescott still has a job for some unknown reason while Jerry Jones gives up another first round pick for Ereck Flowers.
Meanwhile Eli is on the sideline retired flashing his two rings to two QBs who never earned it.
as soon as jerry drafts a 2nd round TE, dak presgod will take us to the promiseland
Oh I'm sure someone will, but talent wise I don't think Goff/Wentz are comparable to Herbert/randos. I'll have to see if I can find the old "big boards" for those years to compare.
Gurley pick ended up being smart because the rest of that first round is trash, including my dear Vic Bustley
The main thing we're seeing is how important these QB-friendly head coaches like Reid, Nagy, McVay, and Shanahan are.
In that sense, the Giants might be better off since they aren't putting Darnold or Rosen behind that oline.
The best defense for the Saquon pick right now is that Darnold isnt looking so hot.

Saw this one one on Reddit
Jason Witten: “Giants should have taken Sam Darnold”
Me: “Haha get a load of this douche”
Booger: “Giants were right to take the best player in the draft”
Me: “Booger knows his shit that’s good analysis right there”
Witten: “Eli Manning is a hall of famer”
Me: “Man Jason Witten say it again for the people in the back”
Booger: “Eli Manning is not a hall of famer”
Me: “Booger you dumb bitch”
Here’s another problem for the Giants, IMO: they are going to have to trade / ship Odell. If they draft one of the 2019 QBs (bad decision, they look significantly worse than Goff/Wentz), that rookie is going to get annihilated for at least a year. If they grab a journeyman and wait for the 2020 class, they are admitting they are a 3-5 win team in 2019 at best.
Odell isn’t sticking around quietly for either of those situations. I think they know that and did try to trade him before the deadline. He presents too much of a risk of ruining the development of a top 1-2 draft pick to keep around, if it doesn’t immediately have extreme success, which isn’t happening because their biggest problem is offensive line.
Put up or shut up time for Bell. If he doesn’t show up by 4pm he’s ineligible for the rest of the season.
3LI with crucial plays in this game winning drive.

As a packers fan you should appreciate last minute ref calls to save a drive against the niners.
Rams and Chiefs are not happy about the condition of the field in Mexico after a Shakira concert destroyed it over a month ago. Some rumblings that they may move the game back to LA (Rams are the home team for this).
