I don’t understand this? Ffxivteamcraft simulator says you can HQ fairly reliably with a couple HQ mats still using 70 gear. Are you trying to HQ from NQ mats? I did see a big drop off this way in the simulator.

Oh I didn't use HQ mats and I was using lv70 insanely melded gear. I was doing an admittedly pretty shit rotation tbh.

right now I'm in the lv80 i430 gear with no melds outside of some very basic CP VI melds that I can recover later once I get around to white script spamming.

Its just the different in recipe difficulty (How much your progress/quality gets nerfed) from lv79 to 80 is kinda like wtf.

btw that level80 skill they give you that gives you 30-100% quality on an old recipe is some bullshit. Its doesn't seem like it depends on how much control you have or the actual level of the recipe it just seems fucking random as fuck.

That's what I've been using to level. No idea if it works at 80 for 80 crafts with level 80 gear.

According to the simulator that sucks really bad with my current level 70 gear.

I need to check out the increase on progress for that shit because right now careful synthesis does not cover it and focused synthesis/observe eats up a lot of time.

Depending on when you play it shouldn't be too bad. I'm over here in EU but play on the NA datacenter(i'm 7hrs ahead of the east coast), I've had to wait usually 7-12min. Back in SB, it could take up to 20-25 min, and no hope in hell in ever doing 50/60/70 roulette. Can do fates as suggested, but now is the right time more than ever to lvl up the DPS.

I can usually get 2 or 3 uses out of it before another Synthesis skill is better (sans Intensive Synthesis, I slam that bitch if ever possible) but not a lot of synths take more than 1 or 2 anyway

OK so I finished the story. I do not hold this expansion in the same high esteem as everyone else, because frankly I was not moved too much by all the borrowed elements from stories of their other games and the overabundance of homages. Having said that, it is not without its merits, which I recognize. I can't ignore the quality of writing, it was beyond superb.

I don't fault the story for drawing from other sources, but I also wasn't super happy with it. I kept expecting the player character to have to somehow draw on darkness to combat the light, but in the end it... never happens. Like... THIS is what it means to be a "Warrior of Darkness"? Ain't no darkness happening at all here. In the end, I like the characters, and the end stuff was cool, but the story approaching that point... I could take a hard pass on it. I don't get why it's getting such rave reviews. During that CS with Urianger, I facepalmed right along with him when we got all the backstory.

Question, and not spoilering because it has nothing to do with Shadowbringers story, but has it been said that Zodiark is Dark Elemental, and Hydaelyn is Light Elemental?
