Pretty sure it's only 1hand that ever got 99% main hand cap till now, you might be thinking of the attack bonus in main hand? H2H did always have that.
It is disappointing how your whole twisted attempt to have a case here is mostly based on the notion that Draylo wants BLU to be the best DD in the game. Even if this were true and not merely tongue in cheek. It doesn't actually have anything to do with the reality of the situation.
First off, may we (you) stop calling the adjustment to Sic/Ready a nerf?
The power of the move was not adjusted. Having to be on or run up to the front line instead of pretending you are a SMN isn't a big deal. The reason everyone got off BST was because they were just bandwagoning. Those tools just stood in the back hitting a macro to win, so they are just SMNs now.
- Don't overvalue DRG, especially to WAR or DRK, you are wrong.
- Don't overvalue BLU, especially without any situations or examples, you are wrong.
- Don't speak of balance and then declare the way this trait was distributed to be fair due to BLU not getting it, that is wrong.
- Don't join the chorus of other ignorant parrots undervaluing MNK, that is wrong.
Naw, I was thinking of H2H. I thought I used to parse over 95% regularly on MNK because main hand (but not offhand or kicks) was 99% Acc.

I'm sorry but what are you talking about? It was a nerf. They didn't kill the damage but they made it to where you couldn't be like a SMN anymore and stand safely away when perform Ready/Sic moves or Reward and thus you are forced to take more chances in taking damage from AoE spammy mobs.
Even if you don't want to call it a nerf, It is.
Oh and you are right it wasn't a big deal to me at least but it caused enough of a backlash that a lot of people are still bitching about it.
Might just be that it's trickier to implement as they would want to for BLU. It's not just that they would need to add it to spells to set the trait, but that if they did, 1200JP+ BLU would automatically get at least tier III of it, which only a handful of jobs got.
The more typically available tiers 1-2 are available from subjob, which just makes for some additions to the pros and cons of some of them for BLU (and COR for that matter). I'd assume that RDM/NIN/THF were given the first tier of the trait to allow them to more freely choose between subjobs, where BLU can already configure traits to compensate for choices there. The typical BLU/WAR is still going to end up in more or less the same place, with respect to native traits.
I wouldn't disagree that it seems like they're piling a lot onto DRK (particularly), or that it would be cool to have seen more given to BLU. Just with respect to the trait though, it doesn't seem to be horribly balanced between most jobs. If they continue to add gear with the +physical damage limit stat though, then BLU would really be due to get some.

Just came back to game a couple weeks ago after a couple years away. Does this new job trait make /drk better for THF than /WAR? Or does THF still need the attack/acc from berserk/aggressor on most stuff?
RDM gets the damage buff like how BRD gets Fencer, or like how DRG gets Critical Defense Bonus.How does RDM, a traditionally support job, get that buff and not BLU
That said, BLU already does get quite a lot of shit, I mean DW III, Haste 2, Attack+15% that can be kept up forever, Cure VI, insane amount of DA/TA, etc..
As mentioned above, BLU will still get Tier 1 with /WAR (putting them on par with RDM). The DPS specialist jobs like DRK DRG RNG MNK got the 3 or 4 traits because their roles are more narrow/limited, unlike BLU which has magic, NIN that can tank, BST that has crazy pet dmg. I'm surprised WAR didn't get a tier 3, but I guess SE still considers them a psuedo tank, or perhaps they didn't need/deserve it with all the other shit they have. I think THF should have gotten at least 2nd tier though.
Probably but I don't get this whole thing about how BLU is being ninja-nerfed. I don't see it since the job is strong as fuck as it is.
Not just strong in the DPS realm but overall able to do nearly anything with the right spell set, and their debuffs and nukes can be mindblowingly strong. Giving them the potential to be as strong as a DPS specialized job doesn't make much sense considering they're a hybrid and have so many tools at their disposal. RDM gets the trait, true, but they're jack of all trades. BLU isn't a DPS only job, they can with the right spells, but it's not designed to be solely DPS, hence their wide range of spells and gear. Besides, you don't see BLM or SMN here either.
Oh yeah the fact that DNC got 2nd tier of trait and THF didn't is straight bullshit. NIN too for that matter.
It's weird that NIN has it as a tank but not PLD, too.
