I got two codes but only need one. Lemme know if you guys need a code to try out the game.

    https://versus.granbluefantasy.jp/en...eta/playguide/

The playguide has all movelists and what each button does. Button wise, the game uses Light, Medium, Heavy attacks with another button for Unique attacks.

This shit desperately needed a rematch option. Going to lobby is so painful that I stopped playing. Something is also wrong with the input registration. I know how to do a DP. It seems impossible to get the correct input, much of the time. Chip kills are too easy to get on opp's wake-up too. Anyone on here that wants to try and meet in a lobby?

Edit: Also, how in the fuck do you connect something off landing an overhead? I've tried everything.

No rematch on the lobby was kinda ass but that might just have been a beta thing so they could see how fast/slow it is to connect to an opponent. Delay based netcode as typical of all ArcSys games but it wasn't that bad? Managed a couple matches against people in Texas and Canada and they stayed fairly low at delay 2-3. Delay 5+ is when it starts to feel underwater and just a slog to play.

So playing, I noticed that the game has a kind of dodge roll that's projectile and strike invulnerable for a couple frames when you use the Unique button + Guard + forward or back (using back you stay in place). You could use it to avoid chip kills on wake up but the timing seemed to be strict. I may have avoided a chip super cause it wasn't done meaty enough too so I could actually act on wake up. Could just use your own super art too since it's invul for a couple frames on activation. You also needed to get a counterhit on overhead to continue otherwise it's just one and done it seemed, least for the beta cast.

Overall the game was fun but very simple. Felt like old school SF2 and Alpha 2. Everyone's walk speed is complete ass though so I hope they adjust it a bit for release.

XSEED Will Publish the North American Version
XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, today announced it will publish Granblue Fantasy: Versus, a new fighting game from the developers of Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, in North America for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system. Set in the world of Granblue Fantasy, the hit Japanese mobile RPG developed by Cygames with more than 20 million players, the fighting game is designed to appeal to both Granblue Fantasy and fighting game fans alike.

In Granblue Fantasy: Versus, power, skill, and spirit collide in a quest to find the true champion of the ring. Players can take on AI opponents or fight against human opponents in local or online two-player matches. Five characters will be available in the playable demo, starting with Gran, the protagonist of Granblue Fantasy, who travels the skies with his winged companion Vyrn and a mysterious girl, Lyria, who saved his life. Other characters include Katalina, an ex-imperial knight sworn to protect those she holds dear; Charlotta, the virtuous captain of the Lumiel Order of Holy Knights; Lancelot, a dual-wielding master swordsman; and lastly, Ferry, a ghost with a whip and spectral pets.

“Granblue Fantasy: Versus combines great fighting gameplay with outstanding anime-style characters and stories, and we’re excited to give North American players a fresh opportunity to test their fighting skills,” said Ken Berry, Executive Vice President of XSEED Games. “While this is a title of paramount interest to the many fans of the Granblue Fantasy universe, the game has something to offer for both casual and serious fighting game enthusiasts.”

Granblue Fantasy: Versus is being developed by Cygames and Arc System Works. In conjunction with the announcement, the title will be shown off at the XSEED Games Booth, #4700, during E3 2019 in Los Angeles from June 11–13.

“We are working hard to bring our new fighting game set in the rich world of Granblue Fantasy to players in North America,” said Yuito Kimura, Executive Director of Cygames, Inc. “We look forward to sharing more about our vision at E3 2019.”

Developed by Cygames and Arc System Works and published in North America by XSEED Games, Granblue Fantasy: Versus is in development on the PS4 system for launch in 2019 for Japanese version, and the launch date for the NA version from XSEED Games to be announced later.

RPG mode that functions sorta like the mobile game with weapon grids and weapon leveling to power your characters. It has raids that can be completed locally or with online co-op.

Release date for the game is February 6th, 2020. Starting roster will be 16 playable characters (11 on release and 5 DLC).

It's hella weird finally seeing her walk on her heels considering she just floats in the mobile game.

Only 2 characters left to reveal for the the base game roster to finish it off at 11. Zeta and Vaseraga are the ones people are guessing at based off the weapons from the logo.

For those that still play, the code to redeem the mobile game items is for only one of those options, not all. Cygames ain't that generous.
