Hammer boons are low key so important, maybe more than any Olympian

They nerfed it before v1 came out, but the shotgun hammer for the rail would cut 10 to 15 mins off your run if you got it at the start. It is still really good, but it was almost a MUST for speed runners.

I'm working on getting my 6th. I have 4 spear, 1 sword, 1 fist. Going to get a bow/gun/shield clear now before doing anything else. Just keep at it and keep powering yourself up!

Shield is by far the easiest weapon to get a clear with if you're just trying to get Ws to advance the plot

It has some issues with certain fights but against the final boss you can just block everything except for the jar thingies.

Sword is also easy mode if you get cursed slash hammer mod. Every time you hit you heal 2 HP. My hardest weapons by far are the ranged ones. Just not good with those.

That's funny. I've won with all the ranged ones + spear and have yet to do it with sword or fists. Don't think I've gotten that healing mod yet though

i will say the only bummer about this game is the scarcity of unique content. know it's only 20 bucks but lemme pay another 20 and double the pitiful amount of bosses u feel

More bosses would've been nice. I do enjoy that the first couple bosses keep evolving based on how far along you are though.

You find the secret boss yet?

Use Hermes' Plume with Fists and just do lots of rushdown. If you're able to clear rooms fast enough you can get up to 30-36% dodge by the end. Mixed with Fists Zagrias aspect you can get almost 50% dodge chance without adding any other boons.

I killed him with Athenas deflect on dodge. You can reflect his wide ass swipes back to him lol not sure if a bug tho

Same lol. I was pissed because it was super early in my run so I barely had any boons

For anyone struggling with ranged weapons....

Get the bow and mod it so it has less shots but they lock into a target like homing missiles when you attack. So many builds can be based off of this. If you get the hammer mod that gives you 4 more shots it almost doubles the hits. I also recommend the atremis charm to start and work on a crit build. Crit with special gets insane when combined with the homing arrows.

Alternatively you can pump Poseidon and try for a dash build based on bumping people into walls.

Unsure if you figured it out yet but get behind the pillars. The beams track you specifically and don’t automatically rotate so you just stand behind a pillar until it’s done. Once you get used to it, it will never hit you.

Thats the easy part. The hard part is his huge ass AoE with little start up. I won my next run, but that was def cause of frost. Still gotta beat him without that slow

Now I’m unsure which aoe it is. I thought the only one he did was the death beams and the aoe from not killing the skulls fast enough (which gets real fun when they go invisible....)

Ahhh. I usually just dash around him so it auto dodges then dive in for attacks after. Lure it out basically.

Also I totally forgot about that one so thanks for pointing it out.
