    I see the appeal to some of them, but most times I leave them on the default settings. I don't think they're all that great.

    I think the alternate dash one is definitely better (50 % damage and dodge boost for 2 seconds vs the extra charge), and the cheat death one that's once per chamber is a good option while you're still leveling up Death Defiance.

    The ones that boost your chance of Hammer and Duo boons I also like way more.

    The one where it heals you for 60% of darkness is realllllllly good too. It basically makes bosses give you a full heal later on. Combine with a +darkness mod from chaos to increase this.

    Not gonna get the darkness from bosses if you're pushing a new heat level.

    unless you get lucky with multiple troves i think you actually do end up with more health at 3/room versus the darkness bonus (on fresh runs at least).

    finally got my first clear on a random garbage run. sword + crit aspect and a completely incoherent assortment of boons.

    Going for darkness rooms also means you're not getting other rewards.

    For most runs I'm only going to a darkness room if it's the only option available, and if I'm pushing a new heat level that will be the only darkness I'll see.

    It's pitiful but the 3 health per chamber is going to restore way more health over your average run.

    Up to 9 clears. 1 At least with one of each weapon. Still so much to do. From what I understand the true ending is at 10? But then there's an epilogue and all the NPC's to max out (most are still locked), earning Skelly's prizes, the other 7 hidden things,unlock the rest of the weapons and all the prophecies. This is a game that makes 100% doable. I'm def going for it.

    Click on the icons on the left side to swap between red/green versions of mirror perks.

    I know you have to unlock it, but I think it just happens naturally as you play

    I much prefer having 1 extra life per chamber than 3 extra lives total. Also makes it easier to "heal" yourself when near death by dying on the last mob and rezzing before the next chamber.

    Being able to choose a darkness room when you know you're getting close to a boss and won't survive without a heal is worth losing the 3/room. Wells and shops also sell darkness that heals you as well, and obviously it means troves have a 2/3 chance for health instead of 1/3.

    First time you reach the second form is some bullshit cause for sure you spent all your life making the last hit on the first form happen in the coolest, most flashy way possible lol

    No spoilers, but I wasnt expecting to be moved by the post fight so much. Really kinda hit me out of nowhere, harder than I expected it to hehe.

    Not sure I agree. There's almost never a darkness room in the Temple of Styx and thats usually where I am hurting the most for HP. And the amount of tiny rooms you go through, the 3 tick heals add up a bit.
