    Phone audio input/output question

Hi BG. Quick question for y'all. Do you know if it's possible to use both a 3.5mm mic and a Bluetooth speaker on an Android phone simultaneously?

One member of my DnD campaign got a job on the other side of the country so he's been Skyping in for sessions. We have a Bluetooth speaker which works great and a 3.5mm desk microphone which also works great but whenever we plug in the mic the phone stops sending audio output to the Bluetooth speaker (presumably it's going to the nonexistent 3.5mm headphone line).

Does Android have a way to manually select input/output devices? Worst case I know I can use a laptop but it'd be more convenient if I could get it to work with a phone.

Try a Y-splitter with 3.5mm speakers in one and mic in the other. Otherwise, I think, you need an app to direct sound input/output. I hear SoundAbout can do this but know nothing about it.

    I'll look into that. Thanks!
