So anyway, I had a whole thing typed about who I voted for and stuff.

Because I hate the ludicrous two party system we have I voted for third party in the last Presidential. My district is 95+% Dem so it was strictly a symbolic gesture. In a pinch I'd have voted for Hilary while holding my nose.

They are definitely not the same. The outer edges are the same brand of idiot in different packaging but the roots of each are vastly different now. I do love the hate for centrists though. God forbid people want to get things done. I think splitting things into 4-5 parties would lead to some odd and ultimately beneficial pairings on a lot of issues.

Current voting model means only second place can get in. She was third place. I was also somewhat sarcastic. I love the idea of ranked voting so people have the option of voting third party and not potentially fucking over their constituents. I don't like the idea of a distant third place finisher ending up winning because the top two were so divisively split that they wouldn't put the other as second choice and end up electing the left's version of Trump as Mayor to one of the largest cities in California.
