Finally got Lakshmi downed. By the end of the 4 fights I think I had the groove of things down. I have been overlooking Imperils and how much they can make a difference. My strategy relied on using Mark of Darkness and Touch of Darkness to get 3-5 Imperil stacks so Cloud and Riku could do their thing. I even leveled Ignis and Iris then LDed them to help with the battle. In the end I ended up using Aerith with Ignis in the end.

To no one's surprise, they canceled the dungeon ticket thingy. I had completely forgotten about it anyway.

You mean the Feast Tickets? I had been using mine clear up the minute or two after they were provided to me.
I had made sure to get everything from the Battle Arena also.

I'm looking forward to the water event tonight. I have 50 Mythril to burn so I'm going to see where I want to pull. Not sure if the new banner tonight is a good choice, or if I should pull on FFVII Banner 1.

7 is going to be a better earth/dark and 7 support banner than a water one. Honestly, the 7 banner is more hyped for having 4 Awakenings than being a really good banner compared to other event "quality" banners. It helps that Yuffie is a great water ninja and Aerith is a god-tier healer.

My point being that 7-1 is going to be a better pull if needing earth/dark and the water one would be if needing water.

I also think FC Water 2 is better than Water 1, unless they pull some switch shenanigans.

Banner 1 is a better banner. The awakenings on this one aren't "good" per se, unless you land Edge's new LMR and AASB.

And not the feast tickets, there were dungeon skip tickets announced earlier this year as the grand awesome global exclusive thing. They delayed release, citing implementation issues. Today they sent an e-mail to MVPs saying "Just kidding we can't release it. It's just not working right" which I took to mean "It was working too well".

I got Aerith Glint. That should help speed up setups on battles she's involved in. I have a feeling I'll be using her more often after my Phoenix and Lakshmi battles.

That's basically what I did. Flipped Riku to mage duty.

I recommend giving Riku Necro Countdown instead of Kefka, and whoever that has Thunder God gets Touched by Darkness, preferably someone with a w-cast LM2/LMR.

Yeah, Vayne and Riku both have w-cast. I need to work one or two faithgas into the party somewhere too. I need to get a more abilities honed up too.

If you wanna spend some resources, you can grab Cid Raines' BSB from the lab. It has a built in faithga and his LM2 is w-cast.

He's also a pretty strong mage with his burst and USB as they both draw from Doom bonuses.

Raines is great because his BSB can also double as rare holy magic damage.

Yeah my approach was pretty similar. Seymour chain, mage mode riku with a dark boost +mag artifact, swap kefka for CoD w/ BSB2, aerith for elarra, and vayne for raines w/ BSB. Elarra just spams songs, regenga is enough to keep the party alive between USB casts. Riku uses darkzone to start and thru 1 cast into AASB and then swaps to necro countdown.

With Seymour and CoD using the 5 & 6* imperil skills, Riku should easily cap on his second turn in awakening mode.

Elarra starts with an SB charge (CoD has the other), turn 1 is glint+, turn 2 ACM, then pass turn a bit before using USB.

Here's my sub30 auto team for reference. All fully dived, crystal waters on relevant stats, TGCid only have 10 magic magia and the other DPS don't have any magia invested. Though my deck is more fleshed out now, my auto team was successful even when it was less optimal.
