    Overwatch League, 2019 Season

Around a month till season 2. Will London will it all again? Has Blizzard found a way to deal with changing metas mid season? Can Shanghai get a win this season??

Season Starts of February 14th, which, not the day I would have started a season, but what do I know? Games look to be Thursday to Sunday now.

    Schedule

    Eight new teams this season:

    Atlanta Reign
Chengdu Hunters (their mascot is a panda and they're clearly my new favorites ..too bad their colors kinda suck..)
    Guangzhou Charge
    Hangzhou Spark
    Paris Eternal
    Toronto Defiant
    Vancouver Titans
    Washington Justice

I could have bought an 11 pull and have 1000 gems left over, but all I got was this silly title.

It also looks like the matches are moving to a Best of 3 which is going to be a huge improvement for the product.

Also the likely-hood for a team to play back-to-back days appears to be eliminated. Season 1 was a slog and the players paid for it.

Now I hope they can improve the presentation to make it a bit more palatable since I don't always want First Person views of zomg dps.

I'm watching The Rock's new show, the Titan Games, and I think one of the commentators is one of the OWL commentators..

"Q"verwatch League starts today. GOATS all day every day. Baguette was a mistake.

Seoul was looking disappointing on Illios, but made up for it on King's Row. Was nice change from goats to see Fleta on Ashe and Surefour on Symmetra. I'm also enjoying seeing Sombra show up quite a bit from both sides.

    Went to sleep and didn't watch the match, but saw that Shanghai still doesn't have a win. Is it bad I'm hoping they go 0-28 this season? >.>;

Shangai didn't win for only 2 reasons. They were up against Spark, which many feel is the strongest new team. Also, and this is a bigger factor I think, their main tank dipped at the last minute due to "family issues", so they played without a MT. They bought Gamsu from Boston, but couldn't play him in their first match because he didn't get to practice with them yet. I expect Shanghai to win some matches this season for sure, especially if they're up against some of the worse teams (Defiant, Outlaws, Fuel and Mayhem so far).

Shanghai also has Diem, who is practically a clone of Carpe in skill and hero pool. (They are best friends too!)

I don't know what to think with Seoul anymore. They have good players, but still aren't doing as well as I'd expect.

Also, goats is boring as fuck to watch.

The Dragons have finally won a game. The curse is over.

That was the closest 4-0 you'll ever see at the end, there. Great match.

Those last 2 last maps had me on the edge of my seat with how close they were.

    Also worth noting:

Stage 1: Shanghai's first (ever) win was against Boston.
Stage 2: Washington's first (stage) win was against Boston.

    lol

Shock are absolute monsters, I can't wait for our inevitable Titans vs Shock finals (round 2)

Shock underwent that heel transformation post-time skip. They learned a hell of a lot about the game and themselves with that loss to the Titans. I can't wait for the rematch.

I encountered a wild Ryko during OWL Semifinals:

I see Ryko is still a man of culture.
