Great horror doesnt need to be R. All an R rating means is you got blood and nudity.

“Marvel and I have mutually agreed to part ways on ‘Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness’ due to creative differences,” Derrickson tweeted. “I am thankful for our collaboration and will remain on as EP.”
In other words brace for fuckups.
I'm hearing he wanted actual serious cosmic horror and Feige wanted Gremlins.

Gremlins was scary AF when I watched it. But I was probably 7.
Make it like Gremlins 2 and you've sold me.
Gonna rewatch both tonight and see which I prefer.

Gremlins was trying to be scary, but 2nd movie was pretty self-aware about making fun of itself and just being campy.
That being said, I would be okay with either style for Dr Strange lol.

That would be dope because he could potentially get to direct MCU Spider-Man as well if the cameo rumors turn out to be true.

Marvel Studios Possibly Considering Tom Cruise for Alternate Reality Iron Man in Doctor Strange 2
In a new release from insider Daniel RPK's Patreon account, Marvel Studios is reportedly considering using a number of different cameos to show multiple versions of Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange through the course of 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While nothing is confirmed to be happening yet, the post reveals something interesting about actor Tom Cruise:
I have they are considering a bunch of interesting cameos for Strange to play different versions of chatacter we know. One example I heard of they are considering is Tom Cruise as Tony Stark from another Earth (At one point Cruise almost got the role of Stark before RDJ)

This is gonna be how they recast Chadwick Boseman isn't it
Michael B Jordan's Killmonger from another reality where he wasn't abandoned and didn't grow up to be the villain Killmonger and instead became BP. Now Michael B Jordan is Black Panther
most rumors atm suggest they're looking at Shuri
I would imagine they are going to give this a new date as not to conflict with Eternals now.
