Finally got my first win and I didn't feel 100% carried, only like 80%. ._. We had a Wraith that just outgunned most of the people we came against. Felt like I was actually contributing though. I've watched a couple of tips/strat vids to get a better idea of how to approach fights and positioning. Helping with a flank just to get in a few hits and cause a distraction helped a lot with securing downs and kills. It's taken a bit to get over the idea that just cause you don't have a long ranged weapon doesn't mean you shouldn't help put shots into an enemy if you're a ways away.

The aggression and constant pressure tips came from another Unit Lost vid that helped me get a better grasp on how play better.

I feel like i’m not able to get kills because i have some input lag built-in to my game. I’m running the game with triple-buffered vsync and it makes the game supremely smooth, but i feel like i’m hurting myself in that aspect as my pc is a bit weak now (3rd gen i5 and gtx980) so my vid card feels like it’s bottlenecking.

I have the settings at medium atm, but i’m considering using adaptive vsync but i get there random microstutters that are annoying af.

Dont forget knocking them down doesnt count as a kill, and shield damage doesnt count as tracked damaged on your card. That said yeah turn off triple buffer lol. Your settings are fine, I'd just set them to whatever it takes to get consistent 60fps when 3 squads are on top of you.

I dunno about the Vsync buffer, but shouldn’t a 980gtx still be extreme overkill for this game? It’s notice the graphics are anything impressive lol. They look like a ps3 game.

The aliasing sucks at long distances lol. I can see this game being an issue when theres smoke around and more than two squads. Maybe not sub 30fps bad, but anything less than 60fps in this fast paced game sucks.

I've had similar experiences at times. Sometimes I'll be way close to an enemy and full auto and seemingly miss more than not. I've come to chalk it up to momentary lag or just not understanding the bullet spread yet. I've noticed it most with Wingman. Everything acting as a projectile can really hurt if you're shooting someone who's strafing really well too.

A lot of people dont account for bullet speed or drop off I've noticed. Bullets arent fortnite slow, but I'd say they're reminiscent of battlefield.

980gtx is solid enough for this game, but it’s my processor bottlenecking it hard, i haven’t had an extreme need to upgrade my pc, but if the game is running decently good for me to be playable without the vsync, i’m still good. Lol

I’m also still adjusting playing this that there seems to be no hitscan, another thing that hurts me.

It's got a learning curve like anything. It took me a few days, maybe 5~ hours of play time, to really get a grasp of what I was doing and what I should be doing. I'm still far from good I think.

No worries, I hopped in and it was quiet. Went to the bathroom and came back to Killer hopping in. I said didn't want to intrude on the 3 stack and left, but when I took my headset off, saw it was muted lol.

Figured out something kind of annoying. If you go down and your banner expires and you leave, you forfeit your survival and damage done exp. You keep your kill and revive exp though. Got 175 exp for 3 kills and a revive during a 15~ minute match that ended in a solo guy taking a balloon and getting outta dodge, leaving me and an ally's banner behind. Sat around til the banner expired but he was just camping on top of some boxes in a building 300~ meters away, wasn't really worth watching. Guess I'll sit around in the future unless it happens really early in the game.

Here's to hoping that gets changed. I get if you leave mid match or while your banner is still active and hope it stays for that.

Finally tried to play and I crash to desktop after anticheatservices. Not sure why but I'm trying to follow guides and what not.

Finally got the game to load. Had to go deep into regedit to delete some shit that somehow got placed by the anti cheat thing. Game runs great and looks great at 1440. Only did one round. Right when the screen loaded some dude started shouting but he mellowed out. Tried showing me the ropes. It will take some time getting used to I suppose. Not sure if I'm playing with randoms it would be best to just sort of do my own thing or follow. How many here are on PC?
