So the AAF season has started tonight. I have heard very little about the league. I dont even know if its on TV. But figure we could have a thread for it

No XP. Must always go for two.
No kickoffs.
No onside kicks. The trailing team has an option to recover by converting 4th & 12 from their own 28 yard line.
For OT, no game clock, each team gets one possession, 1st and 10 from the 10 yard line. The game will end after one OT period regardless of if the game is still tied.
There is a 9th official in the press box that can buzz down for any “egregious” missed calls.
Each HC gets two challenges per game.
No TV timeouts. The league is trying to have games shorter than standard NFL run times by 30 minutes.
the fuck special teams league
Those are some pretty cool changes
I wonder if that 9th official added for egregious missed calls was added recently lol.

So, it's really the Inspired-By-The-XFL-League.
I'm getting the San Diego v San Antonio game in MN.
Dozens and dozens of fans in attendance in Orlando.

Official site is streaming the games at about a minute or two delay versus the TV broadcast.
The live data option tracks the players on the field. So when the teams came out of the locker room, it show a stream of icons running across the field.
And live data is ahead of the TV broadcast.
HOLY SHIT THAT HIT
That 9th ref must favor San Antonio because these refs are giving them generous field position.
Starting to rain in Orlando, and their offense already appears to be pretty bad, so it has potential to turn ugly.
I will say after one half I am entertained. Obviously the football quality is not NFL quality but it’s not terrible, which is what I feared. I’m loving the rule for no TV timeouts. The first half was done in roughly 1 hour 10 minutes.
Well the two games on opening night were a blowout and a low scoring field goal fest until the end. I was still entertained.
Wish they’d have a team in a location worth giving a shit.
