• JOSH DUHAMEL is Sheldon Sampson. Sheldon Sampson (The Utopian) is the storied leader of the superhero team The Union. But times have changed, and he doesn’t understand the world we live in anymore. Or his own family.
• BEN DANIELS is Walter Sampson. Walter Sampson (Brain-Wave) is Sheldon’s older brother. A man of vast intellect and cunning who, unlike Sheldon, isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. Or bloody.
• LESLIE BIBB is Grace Sampson. Grace Sampson (Lady Liberty) is Sheldon’s wife and one of the most powerful heroes on the planet. She doesn’t always agree with Sheldon, but strives to balance his ideals with the reality of the modern, often violent, world they live in.
• ELENA KAMPOURIS is Chloe Sampson. Chloe Sampson is Grace and Sheldon’s daughter. Rejecting everything her parents stand for, Chloe has forged her own hedonistic path far away from them. A path that threatens to go against everything her parents have sworn to protect.
• ANDREW HORTON is Brandon Sampson. Brandon Sampson is Grace and Sheldon’s son. In training to assume the mantle of The Utopian and become the new leader of The Union, he struggles to live up to his father’s mythic legend.
• MIKE WADE is Fitz Small. Fitz Small (The Flare) is the heart and soul of The Union. Despite suffering injuries that ended his career as a superhero, he continues to be one of the most valued members of the team. And is often the only thing holding them together in the face of an increasingly hostile world.
• MATT LANTER is George Hutchence. George Hutchence (Skyfox) was Sheldon Sampson's closest friend and ally before turning against him and the rest of his teammates in The Union. Now considered the greatest supervillain in the world, George plots his revenge on the teammates he believes betrayed him.

Jupiter's Legacy revolved around the first generation of superheroes and their kids, all of whom just so happen to be spoiled brats and celebrities in the vein of reality television stars like the Kardashians (they all have superpowers, of course). They are forced to step up to stop one of those original heroes from taking over the world.

Out today. It's not reviewing well with most critics saying the show's pace is too slow. Some feel like it's a prologue to a better show.

Yeah it is. Honestly care more about the 1930's mystery than the present day hero stuff.

That is pretty much how the comic series went to really. I could barely name two people from the "Legacy" period as opposed to the original group

Finished it. 7/10 was kinda meh for the present day stuff like I said earlier but the 1930's stuff felt like a whole different show at times. If they make a S2 hopefully it'll be better at least.

It's not good, but it's not bad. It is very forgettable, though. The theme I got from the show is people with powers dealing with mental health issues and not very well. If this gets a second season, and probably will as Netflix owns the streaming rights to all Millarworld, I hope how others not related to those original six are got powers gets fleshed out. I want to assume that it was when the door opened to wherever they went outside of Jupiter and that light washed out over the boat crew, that it spread planet wide.
I did read ahead with the wiki summaries for the comics and so far the two seem to have very little in common aside from a handful of themes.

You miss the point. A grittier more "adult," version of superheroes is where they want to go with it, and it falls pretty short. It's still too campy and the modern story just plain sucks. It's recycled garbage with zero creativity. It's beyond cliche.

Edit: IMO obviously. I figure it'll have some people who enjoy the comfort of predictability by staying within the bounds of a classic superhero story without going to the extremes that The Boys does.
