If not, and the sum of all all your other encounters+egg hatches you'd made in the game aside from these 2,000 eggs was also roughly 2,000, then you'd be right on pace for a shiny encounter.

No, but I was using ones from different languages, so it was a 1/683 instead of the 1/4000 it usually would have been.

That said, the probability that it took that long was less that 0.05 >.>;

Edit: I figured it out. I had to create another nintendo account, link it to my profile page, then from our Nintendo Online account add it as a member... what the fuck nintendo...

Edit: you need a family account switch subscription also
