I really am happy for both brands, AEW and NXT really brought the house down. I already can’t wait to burn myself out every Wednesday double viewing shows.
With that being said
NXT favorite match was Cole vs Riddle
AEW favorite match was Page vs PAC with Riho vs Nyla close behind.
About Riho vs. Nyla, I wasn't really interested in the match at first because Nyla was unimpressive in her previous showings. I wouldn't go as far as saying Nia Jax bad, but it wouldn't be far fetched for that label to stick if she didn't improve. That match really picked up and in the end it absolutely delivered.
Good to hear Nyla had a good match. I still think though she would have won though if she didn't open her mouth on twitter and make that child molestation comment to a troll.
I really don't have time to watch either of these shows most Wednesdays, but figured I'd record and give them a shot today. For me, NXT was considerably better than AEW and probably would be the show that I'd watch out of the two based on that. That's weird to think, because if I were to list my pros/cons for both shows, AEW would probably look more favorable on paper than my impression based on that head-to-head. I just found myself bored with AEW for most of the show outside of the Pac/Page match and the ending. Compare that with NXT. I don't like UE or Gargano/Ciampa half as much as most people do, but even at their worst they're easily watchable. My interest in Riddle is head and shoulders above any of the other regulars on that show, whereas in a similar spot for AEW, I'd have Pac, Moxley, Lucha Bros, and Hager.
So Randy Orton joined a friend of his last night on Twitch playing COD and was pretty drunk, he put over the AEW show, predicted Kofi would retain against Brock, and also casually dropped the N word (with an A not hard R) so this is gonna be interesting to see how it turns out oh boy
Yo that smackdown entrance ramp is SICK
Damn, it sure is.
I don't mind them going with this narrative that Mysterio's son has no training and all that, but I just roll my eyes when they act like he's 13 years old. Isn't he mid-20s? C'mon Brock, beat Kofi's boring ass back to the midcard!
Is the kickoff show gonna a standard thing or only for this first broadcast?
Just this week
Well I guess we know who Smackdown is getting in the draft based on that intro
LOL The Rock already killing me lmao.
Why do I get the feeling he ad-libbed that crack joke?
