Just saw that, this is insane.
Just saw that, this is insane.
Moxley also has a match against Pentagon Jr scheduled for a Northeast Wrestling show (whatever the hell that is).
Dude is coming flying out the gates.
Just saw the NJPW video and am beyond hyped. I've never watched a full Mox match and am very interested to see what his style will be in NJPW.
That's crazy that Moxley is going everywhere.
There's a way the Super Smash Bros can have a name in AEW without being sued by Nintendo. In Smash Wrestling, a Toronto indy promotion, they are always referred to as the SSB and hardly ever the full team name. They can go with that in AEW.
What the fuck is even going on right now....
So the first 30 minutes of Raw after a brand new company debuts a pretty darn good PPV is Brock dancing for some time, two beat downs, two commercials, and coming back from the second commercial Dolph cutting the same promo. And now another promo spot/thing. 3 commercials in the first 36 minutes. Jesus.
edit: 52 minutes in, 4 commercials, and the first match finally starts. Lance A'noai already in the ring....Greg Hamilton: Making his way to the ring, Lance A'noai! And Lance by the way in MLW is really fun to watch.
Absolute garbage tier episode. It's like let's continue to watch to see how much worse this can get. Also, AEW chants possibly getting lowered. And "this is awful!" chants.
edit 2: 5 commercials in 58 minutes.
The Lesnar memes have started
Here are more
Just tuned in and they were talking about the 50 man battle royal at the Saudi show and how they’ll have to reinforce the ring. Renee with probably the best comment she’s had in her commentating career “someone let Titus know” Lmao.
Lmao Sami dropped the forbidden words.
Have to think EC3's reaction during the memorial day parade party skit in the first hour probably didn't take much acting. Clearly sitting there trying to figure out just why the hell he ever came back while downing drink after drink.
5 commercials in an hour isnt outside of the norm? It also depends the length of the commercial break.
Can figure an hour long show gets 42-48m of coverage, with the remaining going into commercials. I want to say 2.5m tends to be the average break length, but it obviously goes either way with wrestling depending on if it's mid-match or a match people really care about.
Good way to compare would be to check out the episode of length of various hour long shows on Netflix that originally aired on TV.
One of the worst episodes of Raw in years. Brock memes are fine and all, but if you take that away, there were dumb repeat matches and even worse promo segments. Even notoriously bad segments from other episodes probably had at least some tings that were worthwhile. F-
So far the solution to the 3rd hour being bad is to make the first two hours incredibly bad too. The party scenes were better than almost anything in the arena.
The electric chair segment was embarrassingly terrible. Not only did someone sign off on it, one of the plants forgot his question for a moment there lol. It just lead to bizarre exchanges, a reason to drop the AEW name, and Seth showing up for a nothing burger match.
Probably the worst segment ever since they tried to copy the Rock/Mick this is your life segment.
Supposedly the fans were real but they pre screened their questions ahead of time.

If they actually bring back that segment, I wonder if they're going to spin that as it being a SZ talk segment instead. At least I think that it was supposedly Corey's, because he really needs his own segment when he's already doing his shitty commentary on both shows. I know the dude is a heel so "that's the point", but did Sami answer any question? Fuck it. Let this be a weekly segment where Sami comes out and just trolls the audience like that. Maybe even twice a week. Wild card!
That girl trying to follow-up and that interview woman yanking the mic away though.
