Having draft rules for a draft that will be ignored(again) in a few months seems like a waste of time.
Having draft rules for a draft that will be ignored(again) in a few months seems like a waste of time.
It may not this time since neither Fox nor USA will want their show's wrestlers showing up on the other too often.
I don't know whose fault it was and don't feel like digging into it, but it still amazes me how big a mess LU became behind the scenes. I don't know where some of that stuff would rank on a "LOLTNA" scale, but there was such a variety of problems. That said, it's a shame that it didn't work out. While there was a lot of stuff that simply wasn't for me, they really were fantastic at some things and how they handled certain people.
...and now I am reminded that my boy Cuerno signed with WWE. Can't wait to find out how he's not used or misused. "Hey, do you think you could stop doing your suicide dive? See, Seth Rollins does that about 14 times a match and we can't have people realizing that he's terrible at it."
Basically it was ownership. LU was tied to a small channel that a large chunk of the US doesn't get (El Rey network). Management also had it's head up it's ass with certain things. Pushing Sexy Star non stop, even after her shooting on people went public, then the shitty contracts that stated that even if we are not filming, you can't work anywhere else caused a mutiny among the workers. Evilise and Joey Ryan probably being the two most vocal alongside King Cuerno in trying to get those contracts dissolved.
As a show though, I loved that they didn't take themselves seriously and had straight up murder, time travel and other super natural shenanigans going on in a weekly basis. And while the show was never a ratings beast, I'd say it actually did wonders for John (insert whatever show he's tied to here for his last name), King Cuerno, Lucha Bros, etc. to actually get noticed by an american audience and build their brand. Even names that were known in the US like Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrerro were able to use that show and it's limited travel helped rejuvenate their careers while keeping their names around and visible.
Cain vs Brock and Strowman vs Tyson Fury now official for Crown Jewel, barf
Fine with me. Saudi can have the shitty matches.
I saw a match with Cain wrestling in Mexico and he was actually surprisingly good for someone just starting out.
Here's some bad photoshop
Is Braun putting his Saudi championship and/or trophy on the line?

Shorty Gable. The fuck
Vince probably fell out of his chair laughing when coming up with the idea of changing his name to "Shorty".
I already hate this draft format.
Out of the first 5 picked, only Bray Wyatt changed brands. They shouldn't have started as if everyone is on no brand right now.
Also. Are we just ignoring the fact that a bunch of "Fox executives" are hanging out with a gigantic robot and that's a totally normal thing apparently?
Btw this is essentially going in the order of the preliminary pools WWE posted LOL
Oh I know, but there just acting like him hanging out in a room with a bunch of suits is apparently a completely normal thing?
The whole thing is dumb. I know that it's dumb trying to apply logic, but should I assume they pre-ranked and this was an autodraft once they decided the draft order? Otherwise why the hell are you celebrating that pick like you didn't know you picked them?
Show's half over and this has sucked.
