Taken from Reddit, but supposedly these are all things that will happen in the My Career mode of WWE2k20. All i'm going to say is what the actual fuck?
Spoiler: show
Minus the first two points, the rest sounds fucking amazing lmao.
It does sound awesome.
Too bad its part of a shitty game.
Yeah, if it gets patched and fixed, i'd maybe pick it up in the $20 bargain bin for the story mode alone.
I wouldn’t be opposed to them alternating each year between semi-serious story mode and batshit crazy story mode.
Maybe they should take a year off to actually produce a good game lol
I feel like the last good game was for the n64, but I honestly haven’t touched a wrestling game in forever lol.
Here Comes the Pain on PS2 was the last legitimately good wrestling game.
Maybe... maybe now that it's not just Yuke's shitting out an annual entry (and the next one will actually get some development time) maybe there will some actual innovation or changes in the next entry, but doubtful. It's still WWE and 2k after all.
Think AEW eventually has a game coming, so maybe we just need Cody and the Bucks to save wrestling in the video game world as well.
I liked a couple SvRs after Here Comes the Pain, but they definitely peaked there.
WWE’12 (the one with CM Punk and had Attitude Era Mode) was the last really good version. 2k19 was okay though not offensive.
2k20 so bad Sony is granting refunds to PS4 players who purchased digitally. Sony is notorious for not giving digital refunds so that’s pretty big.
WWE ratings in the UK are historically low. Meltz says the 10/21 Raw drew 3,000 viewers, a number so low everyone assumed it was a glitch at first, but it turned out to be accurate.
I'm still trying to figure out the previous two weeks. How does it go from 48k to 36k when we're talking about something that starts at 2am or whatever? What sort of thing going on would lead to a 25% drop in the States? Viewership is so bad now that I'm not sure how much a dent a good MNF matchup or something like that even does anymore.
Am I simply mentally blocking out how terrible Raw has been lately? Rollins sucks, the draft was kinda meh, but none of this is new and/or extraordinarily worse than the past several years.
For me at least, it's been shitty booking with nonscense story lines with the occasional fuck you to the fans tossed in. For everything they get right, like taking advantage of Kofi's momentum filling in for an injured Ali, they get three things wrong.
Yeah but it's also not any better. Outright apathy is probably setting in for the fanbase.
I watched the Fox Smackdown premier and both of the draft episodes, which were fucking awful, and just noped right back out again. Other then catching PPVs for free on AFN while I'm deployed I haven't watched anything else in WWE for a good 4 or 5 months.
AEW 100% has my attention tho
I haven't even done that much. I'll watch the occasional highlight clip and firefly fun house episodes that get posted on /r/squaredcircle but I haven't even been subbed for a year. This is the first year since the network came out I completely skipped both the rumble and wrestlemania.
I have seen bits of AEW when working out at the gym, I just need to make time to watch the replays on my phone since TNT is part of the base AT&T internet streams for being an AT&T mobile customer.
I’ll usually catch at least the opening segment or match on raw before changing it to MNF. I haven’t watched a second of Smackdown since the Friday premier lol.
Been catching up with AEW and it’s a lot of fun. Reminds me a lot of 96-97 Nitro, but without the political bickering of egos. I don’t think Jericho has ever had a problem putting someone over.
