Drunk Jon Moxley singing sweet Caroline on the Jericho cruise is something I never knew I needed.

According to Meltz because the Internet/Satellite situation in the Bahamas is pretty dire, AEW decided to go old school with having Dynamite taped on the Jericho cruise. They chartered two different planes with two master tapes to fly from the Bahamas to Turner HQ in Atlanta to deliver the tapes and get to editing before airtime Wednesday night. Pretty neat.
Supposedly the venue is the hockey arena in the cruise.
What a novel idea. NXT's go-home show closes with Imperium coming out to brawl with that boy band.
For some reason I thought Worlds Collide was going to be a bigger than usual card, but it's basically the same as any Takeover. I'm glad, since Balor/Dragunov is a match I'm really looking forward to and I'd definitely have been worried that would get lost in the shuffle otherwise. I just get confused because they're also booking the next Takeover plus some stuff is just going to be on next week/the week after and I sort of thought that stuff was all on this.
Despite all those years of the overrun on Raw, it still catches me off guard most weeks on NXT. Here I am wondering why the hell they were doing a commercial so late, but there was like 12-15 minutes left.
Glad they put the title on Lee. Dude's been on fire especially the past few months. That parking lot brawl a week or two ago made me laugh and smile.
I'll just leave this here from the end of the show: https://streamable.com/igy4n
AEW needs to keep Britt Baker far away from microphones in the future

Well fuck me then. Ibushi's out of the New Beginning US tour

Damn didn’t even know they were gonna be in Tampa.
Truly a shame. Those people will not be able to see Jado in action now. I'm just glad it's that "he's sick" rather than something Ibushi-esque.
Yeah, that's pretty much my main problem with it. It was basically Ibushi, Tanahashi, GoD, Juice (and to a lesser extent, Finlay), then you've got second string Bullet Club and Chaos, NJPW dads, and Young Lions. At least the tickets were cheap, and it'll be good to see the rest of the big names. Was especially looking forward to seeing Ibushi though.
It's all just a coverup. Ibushi has actually been missing ever since landing in the US. And now with Kenny gone there's no one to ride to his rescue.
I wouldn't blame people for being a little disappointed, but I don't think it should be compared to like the California cards in the past. This is a huge step up from the previous horrible attempt at east coast tour, and of course it's literally the B tour, since New Beginning is going on concurrently. The final show of the American tour is sandwiched between the two Sapporo shows next weekend.
Is Worlds Collide in an hour or no?
Bah. Was able to see the bland pre-show match, but my stream started freezing up during the opener, which was great what I was able to see. At this point, I may just try to watch a vod after or something if it doesn't get better by the time the last 3 matches come around.
Have Dragunov, Devlin, and Banks worked US shows really before/at all?
That cruiserweight match was so fucking nuts.
"I'm pound for pound the best... sports entertainer on the planet."
I weep.
If he'll pop up on NXT from time to time due to this, I'll be very happy though.
If you like Devlin, I suggest checking out this match
Or this one
Ok, once they got going again after the injury, that was really fun. Clearly improvising a few time because Wolfe wasn't there, but they did a great job overall. O'Reilly and Strong continue to be the MVPs of that shitty faction. Cole not even being in the top 5 performers in that match, lmao. I'm guessing he'll be in the Rumble tomorrow.
Royal Rumble reminder preshow starts at 5pm ET
