DON'T DISS THE GAMEBOY CAMERA.
Legend of Zelda: Inquisition.
Gonna have to use Link's new power to seal rifts all throughout Hyrule where Malice is spilling out.
Has an update about the sequel, prequel has its own thread: https://www.bluegartr.com/threads/13...(BotW-Prequel)
Breath of Wild was one of the most fulfilling sandbox game I've played. Every inch of the map meant something, and designed with detail unlike many other sandbox games. Exploring the world was an incredible experience. My only disappointment was the lack of enemy types and perhaps there could also be more superbosses for end game.
Can't wait for the sequel.
Every inch was not used, the world was a mini game hub of hide and seek the mini game. Shrines were boring only a handful actually stopped me for a hot second before finding the solution. This was the first Zelda game that I put 40 hours into and then just put it down because I couldn't be bothered. The 'dungeons' are not well designed and being optional certainly doesn't motivate me to go and complete them.
Eh, tastes and preferences I guess. always good to read different opinions. I’ve had a lot of fun unlocking the whole map and overall weather and glide dynamics. It was also aesthetically pleasing.
Comparing it to Skyrim is just stupid, don't do that.
It's definitely not Zelda outside of the four big shrines. We're used to seeing 8 to 16 and it got dumbed down to 4. When you do all four shrines the end feels kind of lackluster. The items you get in the game and powers don't feel like typical Zelda powers and items, like the hook shot or the hammer or the gloves. Typically Zelda has a pretty linear pathway with some buildup of challenges that requires the previous challenge in order to continue forward. This one lets you do whatever you want whenever you want and has no build up. Ganon definitely wasn't ganon.
It was still a fun game and I think most people that played horizon first typically disliked Zelda more. I played horizon second and stopped at the first giraffe thing.
You couldn't move 10ft in horizon without bumping into a dinosaur or something to do
You cant move 10ft in Zelda without wondering why this field is so big and empty and why is this 30second shrine over here omg now I gotta climb this shit too? For what? THIS is the first real dungeon they give me? Why is the master sword such shit? What is going on here?
Yeah....ahahahahaha...although its kinda comparing fruits to vegetables tbh

Maybe if it was made for PC, there'd have been something to do at every corner. Instead, Zelda is always married to an inferior console with inferior tech that forces devs to use every shortcut in the book to squeeze out potential if they want to try some unique spin on their long-running formula.
What could have been, if games weren't married to consoles exclusively...
Nothing could save botw from a large, empty world with a shit durability system on its weapons. The game has a design problem, from the ground up.
I'll never forgive em for how shit the master sword was. Absolutely criminal, wildly inappropriate. Smdh

Things absolutely could save the game from a large, empty world. Why was it empty? Because it was large, and you can't have both when you're underpowered.
